The New Eevee Evolution Takes A Bow

Look at this new Eevee evolution. Look at it.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

I stopped being able to recognize every Pokemon practically a decade ago. When I was doing research for this article, I was shocked and almost violently upset to realize that there are more than 650.

But there is one thing that I will always know every intricate detail about: Eevee. Arguably the best Pokemon ever (no, never mind, that’s not arguable at all, there must be scientific research somewhere to back me up), this rabbit-cat pocket monster is hands down the cutest, with the most exciting chain of evolutions in the Pokemon bestiary.

At last count, there were seven evolutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon, one for almost every major element.

Now, there’s an eighth: meet Sylveon. Its body is made out of bows, which gives absolutely zero indication as to what its element is. Flying? Ice? Dragon? Haute Couture? Either way, it’s cute as a button, which means I couldn’t care less.

Pokemon X/Y is expected to be released October 2013.
