The Sims 3: Island Paradise

Check Out The New Island Paradise For The Sims 3
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

This Tuesday the 10th expansion for The Sims 3 titled Island Paradise will hit stores in North America. Finally your sim will be able to live the full island experience; from five-star resorts to diving with mermaids, this pack will give you a whole new reason to dust off The Sims 3.

Island Paradise will allow your sims to start their own island resort, allowing you to build attractions to lure in customers and even set your own price. Several factors will determine what kind of rating your resort will get, from a lowly no star dump to a high class five-star resort. Build water slides and pools, or go fancy with a high class dining room.

You will also be able to grab a boat and take off to explore new islands. The boats will include a paddle boat, sailboat, speedboat, or fully customizable houseboat for your sim to live life on the sea. With all new snorkeling and scuba diving skills your sims will be able to explore the ocean floor and search for sunken treasure. The addition of new fish, like sharks, and even a Kraken, will keep the deep sea exciting to explore.

The addition of houseboats sounds amazing; build and customize your own and park it at any open port. If you ever get tired of the scenery you can just pick up anchor and sail to a new port. There are also some mermaids floating around in the sea, and the addition of the new mermaid life state. Who doesn’t want to be a mermaid, or marry one?

Go dust off your copy of The Sims 3 or buy a new one, cause Island Paradise will be washing up on the shore on June 25th for the PC.
