The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack is finally out, but EA's servers are having trouble keeping up with bandwidth demand.

It’s been an exciting and tough week for The Sims 4 fans. The infant update release just two days ago finally added the infant life stage to the game, at the cost of several hours of EA App server issues.

Similar problems are happening again today with the Growing Together expansion pack launch. Many are logging into the EA App to find their game library empty, finding that the launcher is not recognizing their Growing Together purchase, or outright getting 500 errors in the app.

There may be a way to jolt the EA servers into recognizing changes to your library and allow you to download the expansion pack and update the game, but if you can’t get it to work then your best bet is to wait it out until later today.

Growing Together doesn’t just augment the new base game features added with the infant update, it adds a host of new social events and options that have been almost as long-awaited as the infant patch. Deeper relationship interactions are the big draw here, as well as crucial furniture like the changing table.

The issues with EA’s servers will lessen as the day draws on, so don’t fret if you can’t see your purchase or get into the game for any other reason just yet. The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack is one of the larger content releases for the game so far, keep an eye open for The Sims 4 guides here on GameSkinny as we dig into the expansion’s additions.
