The Wizard101 Universe Announces a Single-Player Prequel

Get ready to experience a brand new story within the Wizard 101 universe!

Wizard 101 is an iconic MMORPG game I grew up playing nonstop. It’s still going strong today, but if you’re looking for something fresh, you’ll delight at the news of a new prequel experience from the same universe. Here’s everything we know about Ravenwood Academy so far!

Kingisle brought us some fantastic games to play online with friends: Wizard101 and Pirates101. We ventured to various locations as our wizards or pirates, completed quests, competed in arenas, and grinded out dungeons. It’s now time for us to go back in time at Ravenwood Academy in the first single-player experience from the team. We’ll experience wizarding school first hand with a more narrative-driven focus.

Before the events of Wizard101, you’ll enroll as a student alongside recognizable characters like the Fire Professor, Falmea. You’ll have to juggle all your class assignments, complete trials, and help out other students by making important choices. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Wizard 101 game without including some mystery.

A lot of mischief is going on behind the scenes, and you’ll also be solving some mysteries around Ravenwood simultaneously with your class work. Investigate the Academy for clues and interrogate the characters to uncover the truth behind the unfolding events. You’ll witness a side of the Spiral you’ve never seen before.

Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of the game is the focus on relationship-building and story-altering choices. Throughout the story, you’ll engage in activities and quests with your fellow classmates and will actually gain relationship points with them. You can reach a level 10 relationship with each character or perhaps make enemies if you decide to go against them. These dialogue choices will determine what will become of your time at the Academy and what kind of wizard you’ll grow to be.

There is no official release date set yet for Ravenwood Academy, but we’ll hear more from the team very soon. It’ll be available to purchase on Steam for PC players only. You can wishlist the game to get a notification when it is released.
