The Wolf Among Us, Episode 4: In Sheep’s Clothing, will release on May 27th on PC/Mac on the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other distribution services as part of a season pass for $24.99. The PlayStation Network will release the episode for the Playstation 3 by itself for $4.99 or as part of a season pass that will include access to all five episodes.
On May 28th, the Xbox Games Store will release the episode for the Xbox 360 for $4.99 or as a part of a season pass upgrade.
For users wanting episode 4 for iOS, an in-app purchase can be made on May 29th for purchase individually for $4.99 or as a multi-pack containing episodes 2-5 for $14.99.
Based on Fables, a comic book series, The Wolf Among Us, is a point and click adventure game, that is reminiscent of the Choose Your Own Adventure books. Mixing film noir and graphic novel styling, The Wolf Among Us takes our ideas of what a cartoon should be with a mature rating. Playing as the protagonist, Bigby Wolf, players make choices that influence events later in the game.
The three previous episodes have mostly received positive reviews. Character development and the writing have been positive. While the darker tones and lack of action sequences in episode two received the most criticism.
Hopefully, the fourth episode will live up to the hype and continue to draw us deeper into the lives of the characters in Fabletown.
