So if you haven’t heard, The first episode of Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us will be released tomorrow on Xbox 360 and PC/Mac. The Playstation 3 version should be out shortly after.
This game is set in the world of Fables. What is Fables you ask? Well, it is a comic book series about fairytale characters that live in our world. There are many mature themes, to be expected from a comic book, and everything may not be like you remember from your childhood. A conqueror known as “The Adversary” exiled all the fairytale beings you see in Fables to New York City. Most can blend in as humans or go into human forms, but those that can’t stay at the Farm upstate.
As for the actual game, you play as Bigby “The Big Bad” Wolf as a detective of a murder case. The Choice-based system from The Walking Dead is back, but now it also matters when you make the decisions. Bigby can also change between human form and wolf form, so I’m anxious to see how that will work in the game. If you’ve played, or even heard of, Telltale’s The Walking Dead, then you know this will be a must to try. Even if you don’t know Fables, try it out because the game takes place before the initial comic story arc.
Clearly, something intense is going down.
