Thief Developer Announces PC Requirements

Eidos Montreal releases the PC requirements for its upcoming title, "especially [made] for the PC."

Thief is the highly anticipated stealth video game from developer, Eidos Montreal. This reboot of the classic Thief series follows Garrett, a master thief, as he steals from the rich. Choice-driven gameplay takes you through the city named “The City” while it’s consumed by a plague. Garrett intends to exploit the rich living in “The City” to make amends for them living in glamour as so many people are dying.

Thief, set for release in February of this year and Eidos Montreal has released the PC requirements on its blog stating, “Now that we’re done tinkering and optimizing every aspect of the game, we can finally announce the minimum and recommended system requirements.”

Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista with platform update
CPU: High-performance dual core CPU or quad core CPU
RAM: 4 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
DirectX: DirectX 10
HDD/SSD: 20 GB

Recommended Specs
OS: Windows 7 or 8
CPU: AMD FX 8000 series or better / Intel i7 Quad Core CPU 
RAM: 4+ GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD / R9 series or better / Nvidia GTX 660 series or better
DirectX: DirectX 11
HDD/SSD: 20 GB

Since Thief was “especially made for PC,” these requirements come with excitement from PC players waiting to play the game. The release date for North America is February 25th while Australia and Europe will be getting the game on the 27th and 28th respectively.
