Gaming headsets. A lot of us use them. If you are the proud owner of a new Xbox One, you will want to get one as quickly as possible so you can pwn all of your friends over Xbox Live while no-scoping in Call of Duty: Ghosts. The team at Turtle Beach, one of the front-runners in the gaming headset space, understand that they are a popular choice among Xbox fans and want to make sure gamers are aware that they will have their back.

Turtle Beach has announced today that they will be releasing a compatibility kit for its current gaming headset lines. This will allow the headsets to plug into an Xbox One controller. If you purchase an XP Seven, X42, XP400, or an XP510, you will receive the kit when they become available. The current timeframe in which Turtle Beach thinks that the kits will be released is between March 1, 2014 and June 30, 2014

It will be interesting to see if the controller will be able to deliver a surround sound signal to the headsets itself, or if users will continue to have to use the optical port on the back of the console. If the controller is able to deliver the sound, then this will be another advantage for Microsoft and Turtle Beach.
