Twitch will be the first streaming service directly available inside the workings of a console game. Players were previously able to stream their COD games by rigging up their own PCs as they played on the desktop platform.

This service will be automatically available to all players on the XBox, PS3 and PC. Availability for the XBox is believed to be immediate, where the PS3 feature will be released shortly after. Players will be able to hook up their cameras and headsets as well, capturing not only their gameplay, but their audio and video reactions as well.

This comes at a good time for Twitch, now that own3D has ceased operations. Twitch is the most popular e-sports streaming platform, with more than 23 million unique viewers per month and more than 300,000 unique broadcasters.
