UK Xbox One Day One Preorders Get Choice of Free Game

The lucky folks in the U.K. with a Day One preorder for the Xbox One will have their choice of a free game on the launch date. They get to choose between a digital copy of FIFA 14 or a physical copy of Forza Motorsport 5.

News has been circulating that anyone in the U.K. with an Xbox One preorder would get a free copy of FIFA 14 on November 22 when the console launches.  The game is set to come as a download code for the game and is meant to be an added incentive for people to preorder the Day One edition of the Xbox One.  News today reveals that people who preorder a Day One edition will also have the option of Forza Motorsport 5: Day One Edition

However, to take advantage of this deal, the person will need to go to the store in-person because the online stock for the Forza Motorsport 5: Day One Edition bundles are sold out.

“All you have to do is pop into store and ask a member of staff,” said a representative for GAME, “But [Forza 5 Xbox One] units are VERY limited so folks will need to get in quick.”

Another interesting fact about the Forza Motorsport 5: Day One Edition is that the game will be a physical copy instead of a download code.  So disc fans will be happy to hear that.

No news yet on whether other territories will be receiving a similar deal but hopefully Microsoft will announce something along those lines soon.  It would be nice if part of the $499 price tag included a “free” game!
