On September 22nd, UKTV released a mobile game, Red Dwarf XI: The Game, for the upcoming eleventh season of the classic Red Dwarf series. You will be able to take control of the space mining ship of the same name to explore the depths of the universe.
Grant Naylor Productions partnered up with GameDigits Ltd. to conjure an ‘action-packed’ mobile game that will tie in with the new series. Players will be able to take control of the ship, Red Dwarf, as they struggle to find their way back to Earth. Red Dwarf also contains content written by Doug Naylor himself, specifically for the game. Players will enjoy a mix of arcade, action, and strategy games as they travel through space. Ship upgrades, and special items will be available as the story progresses. The Starbug will also be making an appearance!
Since being an avid fan of Red Dwarf from the first series, it is a dream opportunity to be able to make a game for series XI. Working on this project has created one of those magical combinations, where the show’s genre and the gameplay work perfectly together. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the legendary Doug Naylor, alongside UKTV and Grant Naylor Productions.

Red Dwarf XI: The Game will also receive updates which will be released in parallel with the series as they appear on UK TV channel Dave. Players will also be happy to know that as they unlock more content, they will be able to achieve an overall score and will be ranked alongside other players through online leaderboards.
