Uncharted 4 delayed to make Nathan Drake's goodbye sweeter
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The fact that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was delayed to Spring 2016 is cause for sadness. But in an era where games are being pushed out the door too early and disappointing the fans, seeing these kinds of delays on the most anticipated titles seems to be one of the best things that could happen so I personally wasn’t too disheartened when I first saw the announcement.

As it turns out, this delay was because Naughty Dog wants to deliver the best ending they possibly can. As Neil Druckmann told Gamesradar

“It was going to disappoint them (fans) to push this thing back, but this is the last chapter for Nathan Drake, so let’s give ourselves as much time as possible and go all-out for this series.”

Take all the time you need, Naughty Dog. Heck, push it further back if you have to (please try not to). The last chapter of Nathan Drake’s saga needs the best send off it can get.

We fans will grin and bear it.
