Just how much are visuals progressing in video games? If the lighting technology seen in the Metal Gear Solid 5 trailer and gameplay video wasn’t enough to convince you that we’ll be seeing a significant improvement in visuals over the next generation, maybe this tech demo from Epic Games will change your mind.

The above video was created with Unreal Engine 4, and runs on a single GTX 680. Being a tech demo, we can’t expect every game to look so good — but the fact that it’s possible is exciting.
