Updates to the Living Story

The newest update for Guild Wars 2's Living Story finally gives us named characters to connect to.
This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

The newest update to Guild Wars 2 has seen further advancement of the Living Story.  Previously, we have had refugees trekking across Diessa Plateau and Wayfarer Foothills, portals opening and drill machines erupting to disgorge attack parties of Dredge and Flame Legion, and individual refugees willing to share their stories in exchange for the return of their lost baubles.

Now we finally get to the characters we were told would feature in the Living Story, characters we would get to fight alongside.  On one side we have Braham, a Norn looking to find help and heroes to protect the people of his steading against attack.  On the other we have Rox, a gladium on a mission from Rytlock himself in need of backup.

The actual content takes place in instances players can enter either singly or in groups.  The progress made in these Living Story instances is tracked using achievements, so Arenanet has also put NPCs into the game to allow players to relive the moments or replay the instances.

Be sure to check these instances out while you can.  The Living Story is still progressing onwards, so there’s a limited window of time to explore.
