We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie Rolls Onto Switch in June

We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie revitalizes the original for a new generation on modern hardware.

After months of speculation, the remake of We <3 Katamari has finally been revealed. Fully titled We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie, the hotly anticipated remake of Katamari’s best installment will be releasing as a Switch console exclusive on June 2, 2023. The additional subtitle deals with some new content that Bandai Namco is adding for this version.

There will be a couple of additional levels that deal with a younger King of All Cosmos as he works his way up to being King. On the eShop, the game’s description reads, “In his youth, the King received a strict education from his father, the Great King. New challenges have been added where you can roll around as the King in his boyhood! The days of hard study and intense training can all be rolled through in 5 all-new challenges.”

We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie will also have a brand new selfie mode. As you’re enjoying each level, you’ll be able to stop and take some selfies of the Prince and his cousins to share with your friends online.

On a semi-unrelated note, Bandai Namco will also be letting active subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online play a trial of the first Katamari Damacy Reroll game for free. Similar to other trials, players will have a week to make progress in the game. Anything you don’t finish can then be taken to the full game should you choose to buy it. You’ll be able to trial Katamari Damacy Reroll starting on February 20, 2023.
