While there is a metric ton of stuff to be excited for in the DLC pack for Fallout 4, entitled Far Harbor, everyone wants to know what kind guns am I going to get to blow up, eviscerate, and dismember all the icky new baddies with on the Commonwealth’s spooky new Mirelurk-infested island?

While there hasn’t been any official word from Bethesda yet, some enterprising speculators have uncovered a few of the fresh firearms and melee weapons we can look forward to when Far Harbor drops next week.

Lever Action Rifle:

Fallout 3 fans rejoiced when this obvious lever action repeater popped up in the launch trailer for Far Harbor. Anyone who remembers stalking through the Capital Wasteland remembers the destructive power of Lincoln’s Repeater, a .44 magnum wrecking ball leftover from the days of the Civil War. And there was the addition of a lever action rifle in the Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3, which this new lever-action rifle bares more than a passing resemblance to. We can’t wait to kill in classic style when we find one.

Whaling Gaff:

Oooh boy, does that thing look deadly or what? Melee characters are some of the most rewarding playstyles you can run through the game with so to see the addition of this nasty, pointed gaff, normally used to control larger fish in the old days is welcome sight. This weapon makes perfect sense, giving Far Harbor‘s theme and setting seem to be heavily centered around boats, the sea, and the people who depend on them. Get ready to strap on your peg-leg, channel your inner Ahab, and don’t strike until you see the whites of their eyes, men.

Volkssturmgewehr:

This oddball gun looks like one of the few instances of a real-world weapon making its way into the game world. The Volkssturmgewehr was German submachine gun used during World War II. This automatic weapon looks like like it has serious modification potential and the one in the background of this screenshot seems to have a few more bells and whistles than the one in the foreground.

And finally…The Harpoon Gun:

Do we need to explain this one? It’s a gun that fires harpoons. Look at that Fog Crawler with a giant harpoon sticking out of its dome. That’s all that need be said. Good bye Railway Rifle, heeeellllooo Harpoon Gun!

There you have it. Those are all the new weapons we could speculate on before Far Harbor is released next week. What are you most looking forward to in Fallout 4‘s latest adventure? Let us know down in the comment section!
