The Wii U is the next generation of Nintendo consoles. With it’s revolutionary Gamepad and backwards compatibility to it’s predcessor, the Wii, virtual console titles from NES, SNES, N64,and amazing software like Nintendo TVii, MiiVerse, Wii U Chat, Mii Maker, Nintendo E shop and don’t forget Internet browser, it’s primed to be a contender for next gen.

Except it isn’t.

It was released in late 2012  while the 3DS was release in late 2011. The 3DS is the Wii U’s main competitor because almost all the new titles going to the Wii U are also coming to the 3DS, and since 3DS came earlier it begs the question:

“Why should I give up my 3DS for Wii U, even though most Wii U games are also coming to the 3DS?”

Don’t forget about the price: the 3DS ranges from $170-$190 while Wii U is $300-$350.

So ask yourself, do you want a cheaper portable handheld whose has most games of the console, or more powerful unportable console?
