Worms: Revolution was released this week by Team17 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 with loads of features that expand upon the previous Worms game.

It will look brand new with its fancy 3D graphics engine. The gameplay is essentially 2D, but it looks beautiful with layers of backdrop to blow up. These backdrops can be the beach, sewer, farmyard, or various spooky environments depending on your preference. The main thing that makes this Worms exciting is the polish of the dynamic water and the physics of objects. The water is an extremely important gameplay element in knocking worms off the map.

This game will be turn-based just like the classic artillery version, but you can play single-player or multiplayer. There are thirty-two single player campaign missions and twenty puzzle missions for you to complete on your own or in competitive online and local play to enjoy with friends. Multiplayer can accommodate four people in a death match, fort, or classic mode game type.

A major feature of the new Worms: Revolution is the customization. You can choose what classes you play with, what they look like, and how they speak. There are four classes: Soldier, Scout, Scientist, and Heavy that players can use to conquer their enemies. A total of sixteen worms (four of each class) can be brought into battle with varying effectiveness. Each worm can use a variety of hats, glasses, moustaches, gravestones, and victory dances to make your team have some personality.

This game is worth checking out if you enjoy puzzles, explosions, or sarcastic narrators.
