Xbox One Analog Sticks Will Be Less “Twitchy” When Titanfall Arrives

Don't worry, Microsoft will work with Respawn to "fix" the Xbox One controller before Titanfall arrives.

What’s wrong with the Xbox One controller?

Well, nothing really. However, developer Respawn Entertainment wants Microsoft to “fix” the gamepad before the hot new Xbox One exclusive, Titanfall, launches on March 11th.

According to what lead designer Justin Hendry told The Verge in a recent interview, the team has convinced Microsoft to release a new update that will make the analog sticks for the controller less “twitchy.”

“It’s just fixing the controller input, really. It wasn’t really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it’s fixed. We’re happy with it.”

Furthermore, it seems Respawn is working with Microsoft on a new version of the 1080p upscaler, which should improve the graphics of games that aren’t set to natively run in that resolution. Sounds like this developer is encouraging MS to make an overall better console, doesn’t it? Maybe they should’ve come together before the system released…

Does the controller need this update?

The question is, do gamers see the Xbox One analogs as too “twitchy?” Has this been a big complaint among users since the system launched in November? I don’t recall seeing a huge fallout over this, but I’d be interested to know how an update is going to settle the “twitchiness” of the analog sticks on the controller. I’m also wondering if other designers requested a similar update.
