The task set toward players is to kill Volatiles. Lots and lots of Volatiles. Volatiles are formidable enemies that only come out during the night, and players are tasked with collectively exterminating 2,500,000 Volatiles within the time limit.

Players who took part in the first Community Bounty tripled the goal set by Techland, eviscerating 18,166,973 zombies.

If players reach the goal within the weekend, they will be rewarded with an exclusive in-game Joker outfit for Kyle Crane. All participants will also earn a special weapons docket, just for showing up to the party. All players, no matter whether they play the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC, can take part in this event.

Dying Light producer Tymon Smektala explains:

“We wanted to give players more opportunities to kill Volatiles. We’re making the night in the game twice as long during the event, so it’s easier to reach the goal. It might be harder to survive, though!”

The cumulative score for the bounty can be tracked live on Dying Light’s Community Bounties page. At the moment, the site is counting down to the event. The event begins today at 12 PM PDT/3 PM EST and goes until the 15th of May.

So get your UV lights ready, guys. The fun is about to start.
