Kit Harington confimed to star in next Call of Duty game

Jon Snow is coming to the latest Call of Duty game.

Earlier this week, it was rumored that Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow on HBO's Game of Thrones series, might be staring in the next installment of the Call of Duty series. The rumor originated with a leaked video showing him in a mo-cap suit. Today, Activision confirmed that the famed actor would indeed be playing a part in the upcoming Infinite Warfare, as one of the games antagonists.

According to narrative director Taylor Kurosaki, Harington will star as "the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front." To help create this character, Director Guy Richie (director of Sherlock Holmes and The Man from U.N.C.L.E) was brought in to help film Harington's role.

Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl said that "It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We're excited about the performance Kit delivered and can't wait to get it out to the public."

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is said to hit stores on November 4th this year. You can hear more info about it coming next week at E3.
