Diablo III Content Update Review

Blizzard Entertainment recently updated the content on Diablo III.

Blizzard Entertainment updated the content and game launcher on Diablo III during the past few days. The changes are bigger than I first thought and make playing this popular MMORPG more fun than ever. No video game is perfect, though, and I have a few thoughts on the changes and the implications for hard-core Diablo III gamers and new gamers, alike.

Stacking Pools of Reflection

Visiting up to ten Pools of Reflection increased the experience points gained tremendously. In six hours of gameplay, I increased by three Paragon levels. This might seem too easy, but playing Diablo III is actually more challenging with the changes.

The Crusader

Diablo III has a new character class, the Crusader is now available for play. Players have to buy the expansion pack, The Reaper of Souls, to gain access to this character class.

I have just started a Crusader character and will offer more information on this character class later. Religious warriors, bent on bringing justice to the world, Crusaders stand tall in battle. Check out the latest character class on Diablo III, the Crusader. You could be the hero the world has waited for!

Nephalem Glory

Power Globes are an interesting addition to Diablo III. They make surviving tough battles against boss monsters, more entertaining and harder to win. I was able to pick up three Power Globes, several times, and the extra lightning damage and speed bonus allowed me to survive, while other players died.

Resurrecting

Resurrecting near your body is a great addition to Diablo III. It saved time, and allowed me to get back in the fight quicker.

Character class changes

Blizzard Entertainment still has to offer notes on the changes to character classes in Diablo III. The different character statistics, Toughness, Healing, Splash Damage, Cooldown Reduction and Resource Cost reduction, offer small change to the mix. The changes made here are more of the change-for-the-sake-of-change mentality, rather than any real substance.

New Crafting and Artisan updates

Keeping the required crafting materials around is a lot easier with the changes made to inventory space. The new 2.0 Smart Drop system seems to offer better loot drops, but I will need to increase my Magic Find to get a better idea. I will bring you more information on this in the future.

Tougher battles playing Diablo III

There are a lot more monsters on my screen playing Diablo III in Torment difficulty. I have only played the new content in Torment difficulty. During the next week, I will be starting new characters, and will bring you more on the other difficulty levels, then.

Smart Drop 2.0

I found a few new items playing Diablo III, last night. The developers are making an effort to offer a new level of items for higher level players. The new items I did find were more suitable for my Demon Hunter class, with statistics and bonuses that make my character more powerful.

Updated Diablo III bosses

Battling élite and champion monsters playing Diablo III is definitely tougher. I died three consecutive times, while battling against The Butcher. It has been a while since I died three times playing Diablo III.

Paragon leveling system

The new Paragon leveling system actually provides a change that makes playing Diablo III more interesting and allows gamers to play with their characters fighting ability a little. I was able to craft my Demon Hunter skills for specific bosses, by resetting the points and distributing them differently, depending on the boss I was fighting.

Diablo III Clans and Communities

The Deathdealers Clan is officially ready for new members. I started the Deathdealers Clan, yesterday, and I am now looking for a few good killers to join the ranks. Check out the Deathdealers on Diablo III and get in the game. I expect the ranks to fill up quickly, better grab a spot while you can.

That's the facts about the changes the developers have made on Diablo III. Join me tomorrow, as I will offer more insight into Diablo III and the changes made to this popular and fun MMORPG.

What paragon level are you for 6hrs=3levels? I'm still in the low 40s so I have no problem getting levels just yet.

I'm loving a lot about the game, loot 2.0 is going great for me so far and it's nice to get meaningful drops, resurrecting is also making the game just more enjoyable and for such a simple change.

The skill changes are the best part for me though, playing a Wizard I actually feel like I have choice outside of two builds now and changing them whenever is easy because no need to worry about stacks to maintain.

    A great step forward indeed.
