Corsair has just debuted new types of custom fans that use magnetic levitation (mag-lev) technology.

The benefit of using these new fans is that they operate with little to no friction by magnetically suspending fans away from the motor, creating a better experience for the user.

Magnetic levitation technology not only reduces the noise level during operation, but allows the fan to reach higher RPMs.

The fans provide a base noise level of 16 to 37 dBA and a minimum of 12 to 75 CFM.

Corsair currently offers three types of fans — the ML120, the ML120 Pro and the ML120 Pro LED, which comes in white, red and blue. These fans come in two sizes — 120 mm and 140 mm. Depending on what fan you purchase, the price ranges from $24.99 to $34.99.

Crosair has not stated whether they are expanding their line of magnetic levitation fans, or if they are implementing mag-lev into other technology.

The Corsair mag-lev fans are available now.
