PlayStation Premium Classics adds cult classic The Legend of Dragoon to February lineup, among others, to the delight of fans.

Fans of The Legend of Dragoon are rejoicing as PlayStation announced the cult classic will be joining the roster of available PlayStation Premium Classics on February 21, 2023. After years of campaigning for any sort of port, or ideally a remake, fan hopes have been answered as the PS1 game becomes available on PS4 and PS5.

Along with The Legend of the Dragoon, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, Wild Arms 2, and Destroy All Humans! will also be released to the Classics list.

The Legend of Dragoon

Originally for the PS1, The Legend of Dragoon released in North America in 2000. Harnessing the spiritual energy of Dragons, Dart and his allies face down evil forces throughout the land. Developing a cult fanbase, the last time it was released was in 2010 on PlayStation Network. The port will be “enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters”.

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

One of the original farming sim franchises, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature features 50 interactable characters, cute bubble-style cows, and all the crops you can grow. Getting ported to both PS4 and PS5, it will also be “enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters”. Some of the changes, however, may cause the game to play a little differently than original fans recall.

Wild ARMs 2

Another PS1 original, Wild ARMs 2 revolves around the story of an anti-terrorist organization, ARMs, working to take out terrorist organization Odessa, and stop them from taking over the world. Originally released in 1999 with the last port releasing in 2007, this version will feature “enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.”

Destroy All Humans!

As the title states, this PS2 original is all about destroying puny humans, taking down the government and probing for DNA. Destroy All Humans! has you play as an evil alien, where you can destroy people with your brain and cities with your UFO.

These four games will be joining the PlayStation Premium Classics game catalog on February  21. Check out our other coverage to see what other games are being added this month.
