Magic: Legends Open PC Beta Set for March 2021

Magic: Legends is heading to early access with an open beta in March, complete with over 150 spell types and more.

The Magic: Legends open PC beta goes live March 23 on Arc Games, Cryptic Studios and Perfect Entertainment said, bringing with it dozens of spells and near-endless ways to customize decks and classes.

Magic: Legends takes the Magic: The Gathering card game and translates it into a free-to-play action RPG, though deck building is still very much at the game’s foundation.

Building a balanced character and class is obviously ideal, as in the tabletop game, but Magic: Legends includes options for nearly any kind of deck build. The video below highlights just a few of them.

Players start with a focused deck based on their class and branch out with 175 spells to collect, split across the series’ signature five mana types. That’s in addition to 50 artifacts and 165 pieces of equipment to collect.

Speaking of equipment, Cryptic Studios added an equipment system “to capstone powerful, player-built loadouts” based on feedback received during the closed alpha. Magic: Legends will release later in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
