Pacers Guard/Forward Paul George was revealed as the NBA 2K17 cover athlete last night at the NBA 2K16 “Road to the Finals” tournament. Along with the cover, a release date of September 20th was given. Also returning is the early tip-off weekend option for those who pre-order the game. This means that a pre-order of NBA 2K17 will allow you to receive the game four days earlier on September 16th.
Fans who pre-order the standard edition will receive the following:
- 5,000 virtual currency
- MyTEAM Bundle
More pre-order bonuses will be revealed at a later date. Also available for pre-order are the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition for $79.99 and the Kobe Bryant Legend Edition Gold for $99.99. The Legend edition includes:
- 70,000 additional virtual currency
- 2 Additional MyTEAM packs (guaranteed Michael Jordan card)
- Nike Kobe shoe collection (in game, not real life)
- Special Kobe lenticular cover insert
NBA 2K17 will hit retailers on September 20th, 2016 and will be available for last and new gen consoles as well as PC.
