Paradox Interactive may have just recently announced Cities: Skylines 2, but that doesn’t mean the original game is done and dusted. Ahead of the launch of its sequel, Cities: Skylines will be receiving three more content creator packs that expand the already massive city-builder with new locales, buildings, and additional radio stations. All three packs will launch on March 22, 2023, alongside a free update called “Hubs and Transport,” which expands the transport system.

The first of the three new content packs is called “Africa in Miniature.” Set on the African continent, this pack will let you explore Africa’s diverse architecture with its unique mixture of urban environments and vibrant colors. Created by 3D Artist Setonji “Prince Set” Hotonu, Africa in Miniature will include 28 new buildings inspired by existing African architecture and concepts.

“Sports Venues” is the second pack and it will expand the variety of sports facilities your city can have. Created by community modder BadPeanut, you’ll be able to put large or small stadiums in their cities to let citizens enjoy games ranging from football, baseball, and soccer. Each stadium even has built-in transportation options, allowing you to link them seamlessly with existing subways or bus routes.

Lastly, the “Shopping Malls” pack should be a bit self-explanatory. Created by modder KingLeno, you’ll be able to adorn your city with new malls, department stores, and shopping plazas to generate extra income and tourism for your city. The pack offers 60 new assets, including extra restaurants.

This pack launches with some extra radio stations that will help you jam out as you’re laying the foundation for your new buildings. Featuring roughly 70 minutes of music apiece, you’ll be able to experience a diverse selection of African music, re-live the glory of 80’s movie tunes, and smash the establishment with a Pop-Punk-focused station.

Cities: Skylines is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A VR version is available on Meta Quest 2 with a planned PSVR 2 release in the future.
