We might be getting Ni No Kuni 2 on Nintendo Switch, if a new ESRB rating is anything to go by.

Wario64 spotted the rating for Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Prince’s Edition on Nintendo Switch. The Prince’s Edition is the full package, including all DLC and new story scenarios plus the in-game equipment package.

New ratings are usually indicative of incoming announcements, though sometimes they are inaccurate. However, the Ni No Kuni 2 Switch rating has remained live since it was first spotted this morning, suggesting both that it’s accurate and some kind of new showcase is on the way.

It’s been a while since the last Nintendo Direct, but if there is a Ni No Kuni 2 Switch announcement, it’s likely to come in a partner showcase. Nintendo is attending E3 2021 after all, and it’s pretty unlikely we’d get a full Direct barely a month before Nintendo’s major summer showcase.

Whatever the case, Ni No Kuni 2, with its gorgeous world and complex characters, would certainly be a welcome addition to the Switch’s already formidable library of JRPGs.
