Honey Dru: Maximize Charging and Cuteness in One Package

You need to keep your mobile devices charged. Honey Dru helps you do it with a bit of character!

We spend a lot of time covering gaming here on GameSkinny. We cover mobile pretty heavily, but when you think of mobile gaming, what is the hardest challenge? If you said “Keeping the device charged!” then you are correct. This is where Honey Dru steps in. It can’t help you with your gaming, but it can help keep you in the game.

First off, Honey Dru is a 2A car charger.

2A stands for 2 Amps; it means the charger puts out the higher output charge that many of the high-capacity Android and Apple devices require. It comes with a Micro USB cable, and it can charge the new Apple devices using the cable you have that plugs into USB.

At first glance, the Honey Dru just sounds like a high amperage charger, and it is–but it is also more than that. It is a damn cute high amperage charger, and style counts!

Yes, that IS the cutest mobile charger you’ve ever seen.

The Honey Dru works like this: you take the cute little bumblebee thing and you pop off the antennae on the head; then you shove the USB cable into it and put it in your car outlet. The eyes light up, the wings are sticking out, and you laugh a little bit; your device charges quickly thanks to the 2A goodness.

I can guarantee that is not your average experience with a car charger, especially the chuckle.

the only mobile charger that you will want to show your friends

The Honey Dru just became the only mobile charger that you will want to show your friends. I used the Honey Dru for about two weeks and it charged all of my devices efficiently and without issue. The construction is solid, and the cable held up to basic wear and tear. The Honey Dru is a simple device, so not much testing is needed. It charges, and puts a smile on my face, and that was what it was made to do.

Everything you need in a mobile charger

Now, let’s talk about the only downside.

The Honey Dru comes with a very short cable. It is only 3 feet, and that is shorter than most cables that come with mobile chargers. In my particular case, I found this beneficial because of my specific car layout, but if you like to talk, drive, and charge at the same time, the cable just isn’t long enough to reach your ear from most car sockets.

You can substitute your own cable and you can order a longer cable from the company. This a personal preference thing for sure, and the cable length is limiting, but not a show stopper.

Cute as Heck, even with the short cable

If you are in the market for a mobile charger, want a high amperage charger so you can charge all of your devices, and you want something with a bit of character, then for $19.99 you can’t go wrong with the Honey Dru. You can pick one up on the PowerByGen.com site.
