NeverWinters PvP = Epic Fail

Lost art of PvP still not found in neverwinter!

So my review for Neverwinter PvP… Yeah I can say this much.

Never ever go into a PvP on a guardian despite the professional 1% that try to justify the horrible experience I have encountered. I am sure there are many games out there but this is a new game so let me say its a bleeping mess.

Two thieves and two wizards vs. any party of mixed players spells over powered to the max god forbid you are a guardian knight. You spend the majority of your PvP experience ability locked almost indefinitely either dangling in the air or with no way to defend yourself ability chained. Its not just my opinion the forums community seems be be aglow with comments that the developers seem to do nothing about, and seems to genuinely ignore outside this. To be a handy tank for questing and endgame.

You need to put your points into categories that serve no purpose to the PvP aspect it becomes an utterly sad experience. Hitting someone with a shield dose little damage, If you can actually reach a wizard without your own abilities being over written. Now with lunge strike it happens a lot or knee breaker which seems to do nothing, or mark has no purpose nor dose enforcers threat. Players blip and teleport all over roll or dash your left chasing your own tail. Try to keep track of the thief who attacks you from behind you still find your abilities gone, and the long echoing sound of bleep bleep bleep not being able to do anything more.

Now see how quickly they blow through your guard ability, and you watch a tank die to 2000+ damage from whatever direction your being attacked. All this aside your forced to PvP to gain EXP faster. PvP serves 2-3k exp per battle, but at what cost do you just stand by the camp fire, and let the other team win. There is no balance. A guardian has no real stun effect, and unless your close by you cannot even make it to your opponent before your shield is drained. You cannot effectively kill a player quickly, and your left standing around being bombarded from all directions. The players know your an easy target.

I am well aware there are older games out there that had PvP issues. This is just epic sad to find yourself useless in a tank role. A tank should by definition be the hardest person to generally kill due to gear and shielding. You find yourself vulnerable, and besieged without the ability to run or escape. Even as a tank job you have no immunity to whats coming at you, forwards or behind. I question if the developer staff has even played the game outside closed testing, or finds how frustrating the battles can be. I’ll even go the distance that the abilities are nerfed badly, you cannot even mark and draw in mobs during quests. Outside all this, its fun to know that a cleric cannot even effectively keep you alive.

I’ll add that the general game play is well done its a fun game. Even with only two areas of PvP. The environments are beautiful although the lack of Environmental cycles for night and day are irritating. The fact it has so many currency systems to piss with your not sure who got greedy Perfect World or the developers cause you earn gold and diamonds but your left buying Zen and the nice stuff is all Zen even opening a nightmare chest costs cash you can be sure someone is looting your treasure coffers.

I’m glad real companies like Square Enix and others make real MMO’s, and RPG’s it is refreshing to know they don’t treat the customers like $$$ signs btw make a GM call and see if they even answer you PW your an epic failure
