Nintendo Hard Revival – I Wanna Be The Guy: The Movie: The Game Review

Are you bad dude enough to try to play this game? This game is created only for the sake to make you mad. And by that, I'm serious.

What are the two sentences that you think when you heard the word “NES”?

For me, it would be “Awesome Nostalgic Moments” and “Really Really Super Extra Hard Games”. What if someone tries to parody the traits of the old game? This game is your answer.

I Wanna Be The Guy: The Movie: The Game

Plot
Yes,even the old games plot is parodied. No mercy.

They even make parodies of the old game’s plot.

You are The Kid. You want to be The Guy. The Guy right now is your father.
Meh, so what? If you want to have the title, you must kill him. After all, he’s evil now.
Oh, I forgot to tell you, the way to his lair, DUNGEON OF DOOM, is filled with many deadly traps and unforgiving minions.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

If you actually want to try this game, prepare to meet the Game Over screen a lot. And the R button will be your friend for the rest of the game. The premise of this game is pretty simple–to finish it. But the selling (well, not really, because this game is free) point of this game is the difficulty.

The controls are left and right movement, jumping, double jumping and shooting. The stages are parodies of NES games such as Tetris, The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man and many more. In the end of the stages, you must fight a boss to continue. The bosses are the likes of Bowser, Mike Tyson from the Punch-Out game, the Castlevania’s Dracula and many more .

But in the end, you will like what your objective is: fight The Guy. And hopefully, you defeat him. Don’t hope too much though.

Well, what do you expect? It’s a 2D platformer indie game that has sound effects, characters, and music from many other games. It’s created with Multimedia Fusion 2, and is a parody of 8-bit and 16-bit games, what do you think the graphic will be, Stereoscopic 3D?

Overall

To be honest, I hate this game. And I also love it. If this game had a human personification and facebook page, our relationship would be complicated. But I still give it a 10/10 rating anyway. Maybe because Lu Bu is also in the “Hall of Former The Guys” too. And was defeated by Bowser.

Yeah, this game is awesome.
