I was introduced to Trivia Crack by one of my friends, and I was immediately hooked. I couldn’t believe how much fun this game turned out to be–and I’m not one for these type of mobile games. I soon learned that this game has everyone raving and trying to remember everything we’ve ever learned in school!

My friends have had a field day with trying to “bring me down!”

How to Play

The wheel is split into seven sections representing the categories:

  • Art
  • Science
  • Sports
  • Entertainment
  • Geography
  • History
  • and the Crown

I never thought I’d enjoy this game as much as I do.

When the wheel stops, you have to answer one question from the category it lands on. Each correct answer adds one of three segments to your Crown gauge. In the event of an incorrect answer, the game passes to your opponent. If the wheel stops on the Crown section, or the Crown bar’s 3rd segment is reached, you get to choose between challenging your opponent for one of their characters, or simply answering a new question for a character of your choice.

Objective of the Game

The game’s objective is to gain all six characters on the wheel. Each character represents one of the six categories listed above. The first to have all six characters is the winner. There are a maximum of 25 rounds in each match.

Gaining New Characters

Remember back in school when you complained and said, “when am I ever going to use this?” Well I’ve got two words in response #TriviaCrack — Mike 1/5/15

In order to gain characters you must successfully answer three questions in a row, or land on the Crown on the wheel. Then you can either choose between challenging your opponent for their characters, or answer a new question for a character of your choice.

Challenges

Each player needs to have at least one character to compete in a challenge. Then you’ll choose a character of your own to bet, and one from your opponent’s list to compete for. You’ll both be presented with the same six questions, one from each category. The one who answers the most questions correctly wins the challenge.

Sounds pretty simple, right?

If you win, you’ll gain your opponent’s character. If they win, they get to keep their character and you lose yours. If there’s a tie, the defender will receive a bonus question from a random category that will decide who wins or loses the challenge.

Extra Spins and Coins

Each new player starts with 3 complimentary extra spins. These extra spins let you re-roll the wheel in order to get a new question category.

If they’re used up, you can get more extra spins by asking your friends on Facebook, or by buying more in the in-app store.

Coins will allow you to skip to another question, eliminate two wrong answers, give you more time to answer a question, or give you the opportunity to get a second shot at answering a question if you get it wrong the first time.

In-app purchases are only available if you purchase the Ad-free version of the game for $2.99.

How to Win

The one to obtain all six characters from the wheel, wins the match. If no one wins before reaching round 25, the one with the most characters is the winner.

In the event of a tie, the game will be won through a challenge.

If there is a tie in the final challenge, the game will be awarded to the player who started it.

Verdict

I highly recommend Trivia Crack for anyone who loves playing trivia games, loves challenging themselves, and their friends. I never thought I’d enjoy this game as much as I do. You’ll either be laughing or seeking revenge for a loss; but either way it’ll leave you highly addicted like me.
