Titanfall Beta Impressions Synposis

Titanfall Beta - From loving it to hating it to loving it again.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Hey fellow gamer friends! I have written a few different articles covering my early impressions of Titanfall. These impressions are of course only from just under twenty hours of game time during the Beta. I would have played a lot more if I didn’t have some full time work shifts during the Beta.

My First Impressions of Titanfall had me really excited for the game within my first couple of hours of playing. But then I got bored.

I was tired of fighting bots and I still didn’t like the small player count. But I kept playing because I wanted to see if learning it would make me feel any better. Surprisingly it did.

I had started to try to master wall running only because it was part of the personal statistics page that Titanfall has. Very cool. When I saw “wall running time” I decided to try it more just for the heck of it. Doing that was only a small part of why I started to love the game again.

Continuing to play since I wanted to get the most out of the Beta that I could led to my Second Impressions. I had a much better idea of how to wall run and I was doing pretty good at it. I also got more used to using Burn Cards. Being temporary I had to get in the habit of using them because I tend to die quickly while being a run-and-gunner.

What I loved most about the Titanfall Beta was that I felt comfortable as a run-and-gunner. I was also able to offer some real tips in my Second Impressions because of the time I had spent in the Beta. I felt much more comfortable in the game.

Finally, I hacked a Spectre for the first time in the Beta and immediately fell in love with bots. That was when I finally realized exactly what the bots are meant to be for.

Originally I had thought bots were just for fun, for easy casual gamer kills, and of course to help decrease the cooldown of the Titans. They are used for that. They also have a deeper purpose. Strategy. They can be used for distractions and to blend in. It is super cool. That led to Why The Bots In Titanfall Are Awesome.

The Titanfall Beta was incredible. It lives up to its hype and more. And the Beta was just a tiny taste of the full version. =)
