Final Fantasy 7 Remake is real and it looks glorious

The prayers have been answered. Sony has kept their promise.

At long last, one of the best RPG games and one of the best games period, Final Fantasy VII is getting a remake for the PS4.

Fans have been demanding this remake for years and years now and Sony has delivered by announcing a remake for the PS4 during E3 2015. For most of us, you could only imagine what it would've been like watching it live. The above video is the E3 trailer that was released. With the project being directed by Tetsuya Nomura, a name that has become synonymous with the Final Fantasy series, this remake looks like the biggest heavy hitter for the PS4 next to Uncharted 4Bloodborne, and other exclusives.

I've never played the PS1 game but have heard much good praise about it from many sites, forums and discussions around the internet. It's got a good story set in a bleak world with a great, diverse cast of heroes. Are you as excited as I am?

I've been playing games since I was small but only started to really observe and critique a few years back. Been writing reviews for games (albeit, old games because not everyone can have a crazy fast rig). When I'm not writing about games, I generally do some photography as well, so check that out if you've got some time.

If they go ARPG and ditch turn based, I'm going to be so sad. Also, PC version would be spectacular, but I think that is wishful thinking. Maybe in like 5 years haha.

I actually wouldn't mind an ARPG style, something like Crisis Core or FF 13, Kingdom Hearts. Too bad it might not be a PS4 exclusive :(

Not being exclusive is always a good thing.

Yes true but having it multi platform, there might be techincal flaws in the game. Like Witcher 3 for the PS4 has poor frame rate in certain areas.

But knowing Sony, they've made many games for the playstation, so multiplatform shouldn't hurt that much

The Witcher 3 was designed for PC.Consoles simply can't handle it, it has nothing to do with technical flaws.

Then perhaps CDP should've taken more time to make Witcher 3 smoother on the consoles. Doesn't have to have super awesome graphics like PC, just make the console versions smoother. It's already a great game (if there weren't much pop-in and frame rate drop on PS4)

This is probably how everyone who've played the game is reacting right now
