Genshin Impact 1.1 Makes Some Much-Needed Changes

Genshin Impact's first content update makes several fan-requested changes, including lowering Original Resin requirements.

Genshin Impact's 1.1 update releases November 11 and implements several quality of life adjustments fans have been asking for, miHoYo said in a new blog post.

The most important adjustment right now is tweaking Original Resin for Battle Pass missions. miHoYo said Genshin Impact 1.1 is decreasing the amount of Original Resin required to 1,200 and increasing maximum Original Resin storage up to 160.

A new waypoint system is in the works, letting players set their own teleport points and travel to often-visited locations more easily.

Genshin Impact 1.1 also has an artifact filtering option and character images next to equipped artifacts to make sorting through them less cumbersome.

Players currently can't alter key bindings and controller setups in Genshin Impact. While version 1.1 will go some way towards fixing this issue, bindings and controller inputs won't be fully customizable until a later update.

These are just highlights of what Genshin Impact's first big content update will bring. Fans can expect plenty of additional tweaks and new characters and missions when the patch goes live on November 11. Expect more in the coming months, though, as miHoYo has said they want to bring regular updates to the game.

But it wasn't until 2017 he started writing about them, after finishing two history degrees and deciding a career in academia just wasn't the best way forward. You'll usually find him playing RPGs, strategy games, or platformers, but he's up for almost anything that seems interesting.
