While there are sales and deals on Xbox games and hardware sprinkled throughout the year, perhaps none are as monolithic as Black Friday. With the annual shoppers "holiday" moving from a single day to a weekend and now close to a full-fledged month, some retailers are already offering discounts — and others are gearing up.

Plenty of game deals and hardware sales are up for grabs this year for both Xbox One and Series X|S. Though, you'll still likely have trouble actually finding one of Microsoft's next-gen consoles online or in-store. Xbox Series X|S restock is still in critically short supply nearly one year after launch.

With a few weeks left to go until actual Black Friday, only some retailers have active sales and deals. We'll be updating this page to include new discounts as they become available — and hopefully, some of those will be for Series X|S hardware inventory. Use the links below to jump to each retailer's section.

Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free Xbox One, Series X|S Games

Ok, so this isn't being called a Black Friday deal by Amazon, but it's November, and it's a sale, so it's close enough for now. Amazon will conceivably have more deals in the weeks ahead, and we'll add those here. But you really can't pass up this BOGO offer in the slightest.

This Buy 2 Get 1 sale is on a wide range of video games, including those for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PS5. It includes many of 2021's Game of the Year contenders, as well as brand-new releases like Call of Duty Vanguard, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Far Cry 6.

Something to keep in mind is that this is a mix-and-match BOGO, where you can buy two games for any platform and get one free for any platform. It also includes movies and books, among other products. Some of the games are on sale, while others are full price.

Click over to the BOGO page on Amazon, and sift through the qualified titles. To take advantage of the deal and redeem the offer, Amazon says that you'll need to add three items to your shopping cart and the savings "will automatically be applied at checkout, if eligible."

A few highlights for Xbox One and Series X|S include:

  • Call of Duty Vanguard
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes
  • Minecraft Dungeons
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Riders Republic
  • Star Wars Squadrons
  • Hitman 3
  • Chivalry 2
  • Outriders
  • Hades
  • FIFA 22
  • Far Cry 6

A very select few controllers, such as the Pulse Red Xbox Wireless Controller, are slightly discounted, but again, this isn't a full-fledged Black Friday sale just yet. So hold off unless you really need one right now.

Xbox One, Series X|S Black Friday at Target

This is another sale that falls just outside of the Black Friday umbrella it seems. Like Amazon, Tarjay also has a Buy 2 Get 1 free deal for video games. An ad scan mentions that these deals are valid through November 13, so act fast.

Similar to Amazon, this sale is a Buy 2 Get 1 mix-and-match sale, including all gaming platforms, movies, books, and more. Here are some highlights:

  • Madden 22
  • MLB The Show 21
  • It Takes Two
  • Hitman 3
  • Resident Evil Village
  • Subnautica Below Zero
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Biomutant
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Crash N. Sane Trilogy
  • Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania
  • Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2
  • Little Nightmares 2

Again, some of these games are currently on sale, while others are going for regular price. If you're after something in particular, waiting until Black Friday may be the better choice. But if you're looking to pick up a few games and get one 100% free, well, this is a pretty solid deal.

GameStop Xboe One, Series X|S Deals

We'll have to wait just a little bit longer for GameStop's 2021 Black Friday ad to make it into the wild, but until that happens, there are a few Xbox One and Series X|S games on sale, all in new condition.

  • Far Cry 6 ($49.94)
  • Resident Evil Village ($49.94)
  • Scarlet Nexus ($37.18)
  • Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition ($33.88)
  • Control ($23.99)
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator ($50.99)
  • Madden 22 ($46.14)

And that's basically the list; there aren't any barn burner bargains just yet. Aside from these, you can pick up the Shock Blue and Carbon Black Wireless Controllers for $10 off, as well as a LucidSound LS10X Wired headset for $20 off. Head over here to check it out.

Best Buy Xbox One, Series X|S Sale

Best Buy has been offering Black Friday deals since mid-October, but there really isn't much at all available for Xbox owners right now. There are a few (small) bargains available, such as $10 off the Astro A10 Wired Stereo Headset and $60 off the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Wired Controller, but there isn't much outside of that.

Walmart Xbox Deals

Walmart is still holding its Black Friday deals and discounts close to the vest. There are a few games on sale, but nothing brand-new it seems and certainly no BOGO offers. Walmart will be beginning its Black Friday sale on November 13 at 3 p.m. EST. It's an Early Access period for Walmart+ members because why not?

Unless you're a Walmart+ member (trials aren't eligible for Early Access Black Friday sales), you'll have to wait until the bargains go live closer to Black Friday.

As with any sale, it's hard to say what will be available, though there's a chance newer games like Vanguard and Black 4 Blood will see some price drops. It's also likely some peripherals such as controllers and headsets will go on sale as well. Series X|S console restock? That might be wishful thinking.

Microsoft Store Discounts

There are currently 250 items, games and DLC included, on sale over on the Microsoft Store. They are, yet again, another set of deals not marked as Black Friday bargains, but they are part of a November sale nonetheless. There's no current timeframe for how long these will be discounted

Keep in mind that it's very likely a specific Black Friday event will hit the store in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can save on all kinds of digital games, including:

  • LEGO Harry Potter Collection ($9.99)
  • Gang Beasts ($9.99)
  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition ($32.99)
  • Hades ($19.99)
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning FATE Ed. ($32.99)
  • Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection ($14.99)
  • Backbone ($19.99)
  • Children of Morta ($8.79)
  • The Artful Escape ($15.99)
  • Twelve Minutes ($19.99)
  • Star Wars Squadrons ($13.99)
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Ed. ($19.99)
  • Hitman 3 ($31.99)

You can find more over here

Those are the Black Friday and before Black Friday Xbox One and Series X|S deals and sales available right now. We're still waiting to see any movement on consoles, controllers, and most other hardware. Hopefully, more retailers will be able to add restock consoles and other hardware will see discounts. Bookmark this page, as we'll be updating it throughout the month.

PlayStation 4, PS5 Black Friday Deals & Sales 2021 https://www.gameskinny.com/jdi99/playstation-4-ps5-black-friday-deals-sales-2021 https://www.gameskinny.com/jdi99/playstation-4-ps5-black-friday-deals-sales-2021 Mon, 08 Nov 2021 20:23:10 -0500 GS_Staff

With Black Friday just around the corner, and some retailers already rolling out the discounts and deals, it's time to take a look at some of the best current and upcoming PlayStation 4 and PS5 sales.

As we hurtle headlong into the holiday season, there are plenty of games on offer already with more to come; there are also some hardware discounts too. Though, widespread PS5 system restock may be a bit too much to ask for even a year after launch. Most are still sold out.

A number of the biggest retailers, from Amazon and Gamestop to Target and Best Buy, are getting in on the action. Here are the best deals we know of so far. Use the links below to jump to each retailer's section.

Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free PS4, PS5 Games

This isn't exactly a Black Friday specific deal, but it's available in November, so we're counting it. Amazon will conceivably have more deals in the weeks ahead, and we'll add those here. But for now, this BOGO offer is almost too good to pass up.

This Buy 2 Get 1 sale is on a wide range of video games, including those for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Series X. It includes many of 2021's Game of the Year contenders, as well as brand-new releases like Call of Duty Vanguard and Far Cry 6.

The best part is that you can mix and match, picking up any combination of PS4 and PS5 games, or any for Nintendo and Microsoft consoles. The offer also includes movies, music, books, and other items.

Head over to Amazon, and sift through the qualified games. To take advantage of the deal and redeem the offer, Amazon says that you'll need to add three items to your shopping cart and the savings "will automatically be applied at checkout, if eligible."

A few highlights for PS4 and PS5 include:

  • Call of Duty Vanguard
  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla
  • Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Riders Republic
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising
  • Resident Evil Village
  • Outriders
  • Watch Dogs Legion
  • Demon's Souls
  • It Takes Two
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Hitman 3
  • Far Cry 6
  • Mortal Kombat 11

Adding extra incentive, some of these games are already discounted, some heavily. You could theoretically grab three brand-new games for the price of two, and still pick up a handful of others on the cheap.

PlayStation 4, PS5 Black Friday at Target

This is another sale that kind of, sort of falls under the Black Friday banner it seems. Like Amazon, Target also has a Buy 2 Get 1 free deal for video games. And since it's in November too, we're including it here. An ad scan mentions that these deals are valid through November 13, so act fast.

Also, just like Amazon, this is a Buy 2 Get 1 mix-and-match sale, including all gaming platforms, movies, books, and more. Here are some highlights:

  • Madden 22
  • The Last of Us 2
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Marvel's Spider-Man (GOTY)
  • Marvel's Avengers
  • Sackboy: A Big Adventure
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  • Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Days Gone
  • Star Wars Squadrons
  • Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon

There are plenty more on offer as well, as the sale for video games alone spans 29 pages with 24 entries per page. While some games cross over with Amazon's sale, such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Hitman 3, and It Takes Two, it appears that more recent titles, such as Far Cry 6, CoD: Vanguard, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are not included in Target's sale.

Either way, you can check out what's on offer by heading over to Target's BOGO video games page. We'll update this page with more Target deals as they pop up through the month.

GameStop PS4, PS5 Deals

GameStop's official Black Friday ad doesn't appear to be in the wild just yet. That will probably be coming soon, though. Until then, there are a few PlayStation 4 and PS5 games on sale.

  • Deathloop ($39.99)
  • Far Cry 6 ($49.94)
  • Riders Republic ($49.94)
  • Madden 22 ($43.49)
  • Tales of Arise ($49.99)
  • Resident Evil Village ($45.99)
  • MLB The Show 21 ($49.00)
  • Scarlet Nexus ($39.49)
  • Aliens: Fireteam Elite ($33.88)
  • Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon ($49.99)

All told, there really aren't that many scintillating deals as of right now. While the sales over at Amazon and Target are almost too good to pass up, you could hold off picking anything up from GameStop right now. But don't let us tell you what to do with your money. Head over here to check it out.

Best Buy PS4, PlayStation 5 Sale

Best Buy has been offering Black Friday deals since mid-October, but it doesn't have much of anything for PlayStation 4 or PS5 right. Outside of discounts on Madden 22 ($49.99), FIFA 21 ($19.99), and Outriders ($19.99), we'll have to wait until closer to the traditional Black Friday day to see what else pops up.

Walmart PlayStation Deals

Walmart is another retailer that hasn't shared all of its plans for Black Friday 2021 deals on video games, which is slightly odd considering the retailer's holiday ad is already out. Regardless, Wal-Mart will be having an Early Access Black Friday sale for Walmart+ members starting on November 10 at 3 p.m. EST. Early Access is not available to Walmart+ trial members.

There's really no idea what to expect, though it's safe to assume some PlayStation games will be on sale. We're probably looking at deeper discounts on older games, with the shallower deals hitting recently-released titles like Back 4 Blood and Vanguard.

PlayStation Store Discounts

There are currently 590 items, games and DLC included, on sale as part of the PlayStation Store's November Savings extravaganza. Again, another set of discounts not carrying the Black Friday moniker but a set of discounts nonetheless. This one runs until November 19.

It's very likely a specific Black Friday event will hit the store in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can save on all kinds of digital games, including:

  • Maneater ($23.99)
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice GOTY ($38.99)
  • Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition ($23.99)
  • Subnautica ($16.49)
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn ($9.99)
  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne ($20.99)
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition ($34.99)
  • Crysis Remastered ($14.99)
  • Mafia III: Definitive Edition ($9.89)
  • Control ($11.99)

The above doesn't even begin to scratch the 25 pages worth of games and DLC available. Check it out here. On top of that, there's also a Retro Sale and Games Under $15 Sale as well.

Those are the Black Friday and before Black Friday PlayStation deals and sales available right now. We're still waiting to see any movement on consoles, controllers, and most other hardware; DualShocks and DualSenses are still going for full price. Bookmark this page, as we'll be updating it throughout the month. Stay tuned.

Nintendo Switch Black Friday Sales & Deals 2021 https://www.gameskinny.com/vk75o/nintendo-switch-black-friday-sales-deals-2021 https://www.gameskinny.com/vk75o/nintendo-switch-black-friday-sales-deals-2021 Mon, 08 Nov 2021 17:28:30 -0500 GS_Staff

Black Friday is upon us once again, and there are quite a few Nintendo Switch sales and deals to be had. Some deals are live now, while other sales will go live starting on November 21. Some may arrive even later in the month (ya' know, when Black Friday is supposed to start). There are plenty of games on offer, though, as any Nintendo fan may expect, there aren't too many hardware deals available.

Related articles:

A number of the biggest retailers, from Amazon to Gamestop to Target, are getting in on the action, of course. Here are the best deals we know of so far. Use the links below to jump to each retailer's section.

Nintendo Black Friday Games and Bundles

The Big N itself will be offering sales and deals starting on November 21. Those include discounts on a wide range of first-party titles, as well as a Nintendo Switch bundle.

A recent sneak peek at those deals confirm that Nintendo will be offering a Switch bundle for $299, which includes a base Nintendo Switch (not the OLED variety), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online.

This console bundle sale isn't exactly new; a 2020 GameStop Black Friday ad features it front and center. Right now, it's unclear if it will appear at other retailers or be exclusive to Nintendo. Either way, it's not something to pass up for those in the market for a Switch at a steal.

Aside from that bundle, a number of high-profile games will also be on sale from Nintendo itself for $39.99, including:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Splatoon 2
  • Astral Chain
  • Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Mario Kart Live will fall to $59.99, and Ring Fit Adventure will go for $54.99. It doesn't appear that some games, such as Metroid Dread and Mario Party Superstars will receive any discounts. These sales will be available until November 27, according to Nintendo, and when they do appear, they can be found over here.

Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free Switch Games

Ok, so this is technically a Buy 2 Get 1 on a wide range of video games over at Amazon, including PlayStation 4 and PS5, as well as Xbox One and Series X. But perhaps the biggest piece of news is that some Nintendo Switch games are included as well.

Head over to Amazon, and sift through the qualified games. To take advantage of the deal and redeem the offer, Amazon says that you'll need to add three items to your shopping cart and the savings "will automatically be applied at checkout, if eligible." It seems not every game is up for grabs, but a good few are.

The best part is that this is a mix-and-match deal; it applies to not only games for other systems but also movies, music, books, and more.

A few highlights for Switch include:

  • Minecraft Dungeons
  • Hot Wheels Unleashed
  • Monster Hunter Stories 2
  • Doki Doki Literature Club
  • Dying Light Platinum Edition
  • Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD
  • Rune Factory 4
  • Kitaria Fables
  • Hades

Nintendo Switch Black Friday at Target

While it doesn't specifically mention Black Friday, Target also has a Buy 2 Get 1 free deal for video games. And since it's in November, we're including it here. An ad scan mentions that these deals are valid through November 13, so act fast.

Also, just like Amazon, this is a Buy 2 Get 1 mix-and-match sale, including all gaming platforms, movies, books, and more. Here are some highlights:

  • Mario + Rabbid: Kingdom Battle
  • Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu!/Evee!
  • Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
  • Luigi's Mansion 3

It should be noted that Target's selection is far smaller than Amazon's currently. Either way, you can check out what's on offer by heading over to Target's BOGO Switch page. We'll update this page with more Target deals as they pop up through the month.

GameStop Nintendo Switch Deals

It doesn't appear that GameStop has released its Black Friday ad just yet, so we don't exactly know what's up for grabs or at what prices just yet (if you've seen it and it exists, drop a comment below, and we'll update this article).

Regardless, there are currently some Nintendo Switch games on sale at the retailer, including:

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush
  • Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
  • Nickelodeon All Star Brawl
  • Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
  • Super Mario Maker 2
  • Yoshi's Crafted World
  • Pikmin 3 Deluxe

All told, there are roughly 12 full pages of sales, though some games that return for the query don't seem to be on sale, so you'll have to do a bit of minimal sifting. Head over here to check it out.

Best Buy Nintendo Switch Sale

Best Buy has been offering Black Friday deals since mid-October, but it doesn't appear that the retailer is in full-fledged holiday sale mode just yet. There are only a handful of video game deals available through their website as of this writing, and their Black Friday ad hasn't appeared just yet.

There aren't any Switch-specific deals and frankly, not much of note.

Walmart Nintendo Switch Deals

Walmart is another retailer that hasn't shared all of its plans for Black Friday 2021 video games, which is slightly odd considering the retailer's ad is already out. Regardless, Wal-Mart will be having an Early Access Black Friday sale for Walmart+ members starting on November 10 at 3 p.m. EST. Early Access is not available to Walmart+ trial members.

There's really no idea what to expect, though it's safe to assume some Switch games will be on sale.

Those are the Black Friday and before Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals and sales available right now. Bookmark this page, as we'll be updating it throughout the month. Stay tuned.

GameStop Black Friday 2019 Video Game Deals https://www.gameskinny.com/3x387/gamestop-black-friday-2019-video-game-deals https://www.gameskinny.com/3x387/gamestop-black-friday-2019-video-game-deals Wed, 20 Nov 2019 11:42:03 -0500 Josh Broadwell

As we get closer to the busiest sales weekend of the year, we're starting to see more and more Black Friday ads pop up.

As with the other Black Friday sales articles on GameSkinny (which you can find at the bottom of this article), we'll break down the sales and deals based on category and price.

We're also only focusing on video games and consoles instead of tech in general.

GameStop Black Friday Deals 2019

GameStop's Black Friday 2019 ad is more like a tentative thing. It's an early ad, with more deals planned to go live sometime next Wednesday before the madness starts. Here's what we know so far. We'll update this list when those deals go live.

Deals go live at staggered times online.

  • November 24-December 2: Early deals, including PS4 and Xbox One console bundles, available online
  • November 27: Black Friday online deals go live on GameStop.com beginning at 8 p.m. PDT / 11 p.m. EDT

Here's the current list of GameStop's video game deals for Black Friday 2019.

Video Game Consoles and Subscriptions

GameStop's got the same PlayStation 4 bundle deal as other major retailers, but the game store shakes things up with an extra, limited-quantity PS4 deal and Xbox One console sales.

  • Xbox Live Gold 3-month subscription — $14.99
  • Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 3-month subscription — $26.99

Nintendo Switch

GameStop has absolutely nothing listed for Nintendo Black Friday sales right now. However, since GameStop is listed as a participating retailer in Nintendo's self-announced Black Friday deals, we can assume the same Switch console with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle will be on offer next week.

Microsoft's Xbox Black Friday deals were also included in its X019 presentation yesterday, including deals on Xbox One X and Xbox One S consoles, select games, controls, and even a big discount on Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.

Let's take a peek at what's on offer. These deals go live on November 24 and will last until December 2.

Xbox One Console Deals

Microsoft is offering hefty discounts for both Xbox One X and Xbox One S console bundles, alongside the oft-forgotten Xbox One S All Digital edition.

Xbox One X Bundles

All Xbox One X bundles will be offered for $349.99 ($150 discount).

Each bundle includes a digital version of a specific game, ranging from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to Gears 5, along with

  • 1 Xbox One X (1TB) console
  • 1 Xbox One Wireless Control

The full list of bundles can be found here.

Xbox One S Bundles

All Xbox One S bundles are going to be on sale for $199.99 ($100 discount). These include essentially the same game choices as the Xbox One X bundles, though there is a multi-controller bundle too.

Also like the XB1X bundles, these include:

  • 1 Xbox One S (1TB) console
  • 1 Xbox One Wireless Control (except the multiple control one, obviously)

The bundles live here.

Xbox One S All-Digital Bundles

Finally for the console deals, all Xbox One S All-Digital bundles will be $149.99 ($100 discount). That sounds impressive, but there's basically just one All-Digital bundle, which includes:

  • 1 Xbox One S All-Digital console (does not play discs)
  • Fortnite
  • Sea of Thieves
  • Minecraft

Xbox One Wireless Controller Deals

Microsoft will also be offering select Xbox One Wireless controls for $49.99 ($20 off)

More controllers will be added to the sale, and Design Lab customized controls will also be getting a $10 discount.

Xbox One Black Friday Game Deals

Microsoft will be running a variety of deals on games as well.

Xbox Game Studios titles like Gears 5 will be on sale for up to 50% off, including

  • Gears 5 for 33% off
  • Forza Horizon 4 for 50% off
  • Sea of Thieves: Anniversary Edition for 50% off
  • State of Decay 2 for 50% off
  • Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for 50% off

Third party games will be on sale as well:

  • FIFA 20
  • Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition
  • NBA 2K20 Legends Edition

More titles from Xbox and third parties will be included once the sale goes live.

Xbox Game Pass Deal

Perhaps the biggest deal of all, though, is the special Xbox Game Pass Black Friday deal, which gets you three months of the Xbox Game Pass for $1 per month. There's a literal ton of games on the Game Pass, with more on the way, making this a must-have offer for anyone who hasn't subscribed already.

Walmart Black Friday 2019 Video Game Deals https://www.gameskinny.com/zvw7x/walmart-black-friday-2019-video-game-deals https://www.gameskinny.com/zvw7x/walmart-black-friday-2019-video-game-deals Thu, 14 Nov 2019 14:04:16 -0500 Josh Broadwell

Walmart's Black Friday 2019 ad is a bit late compared to Target's ad, released near the beginning of the month, and Best Buy's, which followed a bit later. However, the happy corporate giant is also undercutting its rivals a fair bit with some of its Black Friday video game prices.

Like with the other two sales roundups we've done on the post-Thanksgiving shopping sprees, we aren't covering technology deals. Instead, we strictly focus on video games and consoles.

We also have nifty roundups for Microsoft, PSN, and GameStop.

Walmart Black Friday 2019 Deals

Unlike the other two retailers, Walmart's Black Friday ad appears to be the full thing, instead of just listing the preliminary ads and doorbuster deals.

We're breaking everything down by consoles first and games divided based on price tier to make finding what fits your needs and wants that much easier.

Video Game Consoles

Walmart has some of the same console deals as other retailers this year, though doesn't seem to have any specials on PSVR bundles.

PlayStation 4

PlayStation 4 Slim (1TB), DualShock Wireless Control, and three free games — $199.99. The games shown are listed below.

  • The Last of Us Remastered (physical copy)
  • God of War (digital)

Xbox One

Nintendo Switch

  • Nintendo Switch w/ Neon Joy-Con and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle — $299.99

The Walmart ad doesn't actually show this, but according to Nintendo, select Joy-Con will be on sale for $59.99 ($20 off) and Walmart is listed as a participating retailer.

Walmart Black Friday Game Deals

Walmart's price tiers and included games are also a bit different from the competition. As a one-off deal, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (the new one), will be $38.00 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

That doesn't mean they won't potentially be on sale at that price anyway, though, so if you're interested in them, it's worth checking once Black Friday sales go live.

Following on from Target's early release of its Black Friday ad, Best Buy has made its own ad available, full of video game sales you won't want to miss.

We don't cover tech of movie deals in this piece, instead opting to focus on all of the console and video game deals in the ad. This includes online sales and doorbusters.

We also have Black Friday roundups for PSN, Microsoft, GameStop, and Walmart

Best Buy Black Friday 2019

This list is based on the preliminary deals Best Buy announced ahead of time, so it's likely to be adjusted and updated as the outlet announces more sales, and it's just Black Friday — no Cyber Monday or weekend deals are included.

We break things down by console and price. We start with console deals (including PSVR) and follow things up with the best deals on games by console.

Video Game Consoles

Best Buy has some of the same deals on consoles as Target, though Best Buy favors Xbox One for variety and has no free gift cards thrown in.

PlayStation 4

  • PlayStation 4 Slim (1TB), DualShock Wireless Control, and three free games — $199.99. The games shown are listed below.
    • The Last of Us Remastered
    • God of War

SNK Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary With A Black Friday NeoGeo Mini Sale https://www.gameskinny.com/vsqqp/snk-celebrates-its-40th-anniversary-with-a-black-friday-neogeo-mini-sale https://www.gameskinny.com/vsqqp/snk-celebrates-its-40th-anniversary-with-a-black-friday-neogeo-mini-sale Tue, 20 Nov 2018 16:57:05 -0500 QuintLyn

Japanese game company SNK has decided to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special Black Friday deal for fans. Beginning November 23 -- and running through the 26th -- players who purchase the NEOGEO Mini via Amazon will get an additional gamepad for free.

The NEOGEO mini is a tiny arcade cabinet packed with a more than 40 classic games, including the King of Fighters series, Samurai Showdown, and Fatal Fury. It features a 3.5" screen and an HDMI output for those who might want to play on a bigger screen. Players can  even invite their friends to play using up to two gamepads.

The NEOGEMO mini is currently $109.89 on Amazon. Gamepads and other peripherals are sold separately. The gamepads run $25-$30, so this is a pretty sweet deal.

SNK Corporation is the successor to the Shin Nihon Kikaku which was founded on July 22, 1978.  So, this promotion might be a few months late, but is still a pretty nice deal for NEOGEO fans.

Nintendo Announces Legend of Zelda Themed Black Friday Deals https://www.gameskinny.com/7hblq/nintendo-announces-legend-of-zelda-themed-black-friday-deals https://www.gameskinny.com/7hblq/nintendo-announces-legend-of-zelda-themed-black-friday-deals Wed, 01 Nov 2017 17:43:05 -0400 ThatGamersAsylum

It's that time of year folks. Halloween is over, pumpkin spice is everywhere, and Black Friday is just around the corner. As with any other major retail holiday, Black Friday seems to come sooner and sooner every year, which is why Nintendo is already announcing many of their Black Friday bundles along with some of other special goodies that will be available over the course of the Holiday season.

First up is Black Friday goodies.

  1. A Legend of Zelda Themed 2DS with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D preloaded onto it for $79.99. Note: This is the standard 2DS not the NEW 2DS. (Yes, Nintendo naming conventions are terrible.)
  2. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild- Explorer's Edition includes the original game, a 100-page "explorer's guide", and a 2 sided map all for $59.99. (The header image depicts this item.) Note: This release does not include any DLC.

In addition to these Black Friday specific deals, there are also some other bundles that are available currently.

  1. A Nintendo Switch - Super Mario Odyssey bundle comes with a Switch, along with a Mario themed red Joy-Con controller, a download code for Super Mario Odyssey-- which we here at Gameskinny really loved by the way-- and a carrying case, all for $379.99. Considering the Switch + controller is usually $300 and SMO is $60, this isn't a deal per se, just a bundle.
  2. White and Red 2DS with New Super Mario Bros 2 preloaded onto it for $79.99. There will be a similar bundle with Mario Kart 7 pre-loaded onto a blue 2DS.
  3. White and Orange NEW 2DS XL for $149.99.
  4. Pokeball Edition NEW 2DS XL for $159.99.

Finally, getting away from the various consoles, we have a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Special Edition that will come with a metal game case, 220-page hardback art book, along with a CD loaded with a part of the OST. This will set you back $99.99.

Continuing with the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 theme, there will also be a special XBC2 Nintendo Switch Pro themed controller for $74.99.

Personally, I feel this whole batch of deals is a little underwhelming. In particular, the Nintendo Switch is a trending purchase, so it's disappointing to see that there is not going to even be a moderate discount to the system over the holiday season. The good news, however, is that just because Nintendo isn't putting a product you want on sale, it doesn't mean a retailer near you won't be. So keep your eyes out for more news on Black Friday deals and continue to be a savvy shopper.

Nintendo Unveils SNES-Styled New 3DS XL https://www.gameskinny.com/gyv3i/nintendo-unveils-snes-styled-new-3ds-xl https://www.gameskinny.com/gyv3i/nintendo-unveils-snes-styled-new-3ds-xl Mon, 23 Oct 2017 17:18:09 -0400 Josh Broadwell

Hot on the heels of the SNES Classic Mini, Nintendo has revealed an SNES-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL, adding to the library of collectible systems in the 3DS family. The system is an Amazon exclusive and is set for release on November 27, Cyber Monday. If you're interested, you can head over to Amazon to pre-order it now.

The handheld's aesthetic aims to almost-perfectly recreate the look of the original SNES, complete with purple Power and Reset sliders. The bottom also has the system information and bar-code close to where it was on the SNES itself. The inside mirrors the North American SNES controller, with the two shades of purple for the buttons being the most noticeable.

The SNES New 3DS XL comes with a download code for Super Mario Kart, highlighting one of the New 3DS's major features: the Virtual Console. This feature lets you play select Super Nintendo games, including Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Earthbound.

As of this writing, there is no word if the system will be available through other retailers, but we'll update accordingly once any information is released.

Let us know in the comments if you'll be picking one up!

UPDATE - Injustice (Mobile) - Blackest Night Batman Challenge Mode https://www.gameskinny.com/uwiva/update-injustice-mobile-blackest-night-batman-challenge-mode https://www.gameskinny.com/uwiva/update-injustice-mobile-blackest-night-batman-challenge-mode Thu, 24 Nov 2016 23:28:59 -0500 Capt. Eliza Creststeel

Holy Second Helping, Batman!

To go along with all the leftover turkey, reheated stuffing and uneaten sweet potatoes this holiday weekend, NetherRealm Studios has brought back a special Injustice: Gods Among Us Challenge Mode!

The Blackest Knight returns! Following their Halloween Blackest Night Hawkgirl event, Injustice brings back the resurrected walking corpse of Batman from the Blackest Night story arc.

Challenge of the Undead

NetherRealms scoops up a familiar five-course serving of superhero fisticuffs!

For each set of battles you win, you get a part of Black Lantern Batman's gear (Cowl, Utility Belt, Black Lantern Ring, Gauntlet, Batarang)If you win all five challenges, then the Gold Level Blackest Night Batman is added to your collection.

Here's some leftover Thanksgiving tips for fighting the rehashed 63 battles needed to win your Blackest Night Batman.

  • Challenge 1: Bronze Characters Only - An energy drainer like Luthor or Nightwing first can deflect and help your tanks build power, like Green Lantern with Rocket Barrage or Deathstroke for Full Auto.
  • Challenge 2:  Catwoman Must Be On Your Team - Selina Kyle's primary attack is the damage over time Cat Claws. Silver Catwoman's 2nd Attack - Cat Scratch is quite potent. Of course, if you happen to have Batman Returns Catwoman, so much the better.
  • Challenge 3: Bronze or Silver Characters Only - Like Challenge 1, use a power drainer like Nightwing or Luthor, and silver Cyborg's Power Fist is a powerful 2nd attack.
  • Challenge 4: Nightwing Must Be On Your Team - With three Nightwing characters, nearly everyone has one. All three have Ground Sparks to drain opponents and give teammates time to build up power.
  • Challenge 5:  Joker Must Be On Your Team - All original Jokers have Bang!, which is a strong first attack. Their second attacks are all Damage Over Time. Team him with a tank like Bane or Doomsday and a Harley Quinn, if you have one.
Didn't Clean Your Plate?

Remember, you don't need to complete all the challenges to win something. There's still goodies to be had by just trying your best.

  • 24 Fights Won - Free Bronze Booster Pack (worth 8,000 credits)
  • 36 Fights Won - +15,000 Power Credits
  • 48 Fights Won - Free Silver Booster Pack (worth 35,000 credits)

You have until Dec. 8th to re-heat this classic dish.

Bring Back Your Dead! Bring Back Your Dead!

The Blackest Night series of DC comics created a story arc of the Black Lanterns, who were resurrecting dead superheroes and villains into a growing army that threatened to engulf the universe.

In both the mobile and console editions of Injustice: Gods Among Us, there have been several Blackest Night versions of popular DC heroes and villains.

Want a real Black Friday deal?

Injustice is always FREE-TO-PLAY from iTunes and Google Play.

Who's your favorite Blackest Night Character? Hawkgirl? Doomsday?

Which Injustice character would you like to see added to the Black Lantern Corps?

The 11 Best Games to Buy Alongside Your New 3DS https://www.gameskinny.com/f6dp6/the-11-best-games-to-buy-alongside-your-new-3ds https://www.gameskinny.com/f6dp6/the-11-best-games-to-buy-alongside-your-new-3ds Thu, 24 Nov 2016 11:00:02 -0500 Angelo De Bellis

Black Friday is fast approaching, and after years of waiting to secure yourself a Nintendo portable from the 3DS family, you’ve decided that the sale price is enough to get you to commit. After all, the handheld does have some of the best mobile experiences, and as a device that has been out for years now, there are tons of greats to pick from.

But that’s precisely the problem: after finally plucking your ripe 3DS from the retailer of your choice, which games should you buy? You could go with the tried-and-true titles, but we’d like to offer you the chance to open your mind to a whole suite of games that go against the grain, but are nonetheless enjoyable. The common greats will always be there, but you’re more creative than that. What you need is a list of 11 3DS games that are obscure, that have been overlooked by foolish gamers, that will serve you well as a first-time 3DS owner.

Take it from us, the following list will make you the fine connoisseur of games among your friends.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

Donkey Kong Country games were made for handhelds. Side scrolling games are fun to take on the go because they emphasize gameplay, limit story, and promote playing the games level by level.

You could get a side scrolling Mario game, but that would be a classic choice. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is a reboot of the franchise that first began on the Super Nintendo, and is known to be extremely challenging. Not only will you score points as a gamer who respects historical franchises, but if you can collect all the K-O-N-G Letters and other items, you’ll prove just how dedicated you are to overcoming any gaming challenge.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

Poor Luigi is always considered second best to his older, redder brother. You won’t stand for that, and that’s why you’ll be making a wise choice by grabbing yourself a copy of Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon.

Heavily improved from its predecessor on the GameCube, Luigi’s Mansion, this sequel has you playing as Luigi to restore the broken moon over Evershade Valley, with nothing but a specialized vacuum cleaner.

What’s particularly exciting about the game is that it takes place over 5 distinctly themed mansions instead of the single-mansion affair seen in the original title. The environmental puzzle elements and exploratory gameplay is addictive, and so is the musical score. You’ll be humming it for days.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call

If you are into music -- and as a core gamer, why wouldn’t you be -- this title will satisfy you with both its music and its nostalgic vibe. While Guitar Hero and Rockband games dominate the music genre on consoles, the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy series takes music-based games to handheld devices.

The game includes over 200 classic songs from the Final Fantasy series, and is played by tapping the 3DS stylus in time with colorful nodes lining up with circular shapes on the edge of the screen. It’s quite fun, and spending hours trying to perfect your pecking motion for songs at higher difficulty levels is always satisfying.

Yoshi’s New Island

While Yoshi’s Island seems to get all the love, fans of sidescrollers should definitely check out this title. It builds on the soft, baby-overloaded cuteness of the first game, and offers similar gameplay with some additions. For example, Yoshi can take the form of a Hot Air Balloon, Helicopter, Jackhammer, Mine Cart, Bobsled, or Submarine. Talk about a game that is imbued with difference.

Be warned though, the music, crayon-colored backdrops, and whining baby noises can get a little grating. Nonetheless, Yoshi’s New Island is definitely a unique game to own on your new handheld.

Vvvvvv

Grab a Nintendo eShop card where you purchase your 3DS because there are some fascinating games on Nintendo’s online store, one of them being VVVVVV. That’s right, the title is a bit ridiculous, but if you play the game and take a close look at the title, you’ll understand that the tedium of the joined letters represents the difficulty of the game -- it’s darn hard.

Unlike traditional platforming games, your character can’t jump. Instead, you control the direction of gravity, which allows the character passage across pits of spikes and other hazards. It can get highly complicated when the environments overwhelm you with traps and environmental puzzles that require you to switch the flow of gravity in sequence as you change the orientation of your character.

Prepare yourself for some tight squeezes between spiky death traps, accidental switches in gravitational direction, and frustrating platforming sections. Before you’re through, you’ll want to scream a few more letters than “v”.

Mario Golf: World Tour

Golf is dull. You're probably wondering why you’d ever reduce yourself to playing such a slow-paced sport in the form of a video game. Golf done Mario style is like no typical golfing experience -- it’s filled with delightful Nintendo lore, diverse courses, and gameplay that is just complex enough without getting overly technical.

After you’re done competing on the seaside, mountain, sky, and underwater links with Mario and friends, you are also treated to a bevy of additional modes. One such mode that had me playing for countless hours is the Challenges mode. In this mode, you are challenged to complete ridiculous tasks like collecting trickily placed coins by getting the ball to hit them on the course, driving the ball through a sequence of rings while maintaining par, and spinning a slot machine to determine which clubs you can use to best three holes.

Mario Golf: World Tour is anything but a dull day on the green.

Kirby Planet Robobot

You just can’t go wrong when it comes to platformers on the 3DS. Although Kirby games are more often than not simple games targeted at children, that is not the case here. In fact, I enjoyed my time with the game this past summer because of the formidable challenge and the diversity of its levels. This one is surely easy to overlook, but don’t be fooled by its charm and youthful aesthetics, Kirby Planet Robobot is a well-put together game, even for adults.

As for its namesake, levels in the game are modeled after technological innovations. That means, you’ll see plenty of  metallic objects, computer lingo-inspired names for its worlds, and a bunch of tech-equipped enemies. Just make sure to have your 3D turned on when you play -- it accentuates the amount of depth between plains in the level design that much more.

Pushmo

It’s time to put your mind to work. Again we have a game that could easily slip under the radar because of its childlike appearances and unassuming name. Pushmo is actually a dedicated puzzle game that has you playing as a sumo wrestler named Mallo who must push and slide blocks to reach the top of climbable structures where children have found themselves stranded.

There’s nothing quite like spending hours to complete the 250-plus levels in the game. It’s addictive, sometimes complicated, and alluring. If you enjoy Pushmo, then you should probably buy its sequel as well, Crashmo -- both can be found on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Super Mario 3D Land

We know, we know. We promised that this list would only consist of obscure titles, but hear us out on this one. While it’s certainly true that Mario games are among the oft-recommended titles for Nintendo gamers, we feel that this one is often overlooked because of its unique design. But that’s precisely why we're recommending it!

Super Mario 3D Land takes the 2D style of Mario adventures like those found in the New Super Mario Bros. series and expands the environment in 3D by giving Mario free reign over how he travels through the world's guided by dynamic camera angles. It’s not quite open world, and it’s not even fully 3D--you travel in slightly open spaces that are confined enough to make the game feel a bit like a sidescroller without ever having immense open areas to explore like a Mario 64.

If you love single-player experiences, challenging platformers, and want to get something new out of Mario franchises, Super Mario 3D Land will lay the groundwork for a passionate relationship between you and your new 3DS.

Source: IGN

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy

Puzzle games are some of the best under-promoted games on the 3DS. Like the other games in the Professor Layton series, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy will challenge your mind to hundreds of logic puzzles as you explore environments chalk-full of mystery and intrigue. And as always, there is a great story that weaves the whole experience together.

Professor Layton games are all about donning your thinking top hat and solving the most clever puzzles to progress through the unsolved mysteries. As lovers of the finer things, it would be ungentlemanly of us to withhold a recommendation of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy from you.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

Let’s round out this list with a unique turn-based strategy game that has you using steam as a currency to traverse maps filled with strategically placed enemies. In Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. you play alongside an oddly matched team of characters like Tom Sawyer, Lion, and Scarecrow. It sounds like a match made in hell, but trust me, the abilities each character has opens the game up for several combinations of success.

Each have their own set of primary weapons and special attacks to use against enemies. Both travel and ammo are measured in units of steam -- the more steam you have, the more you can get within range of enemies and the more damage you can do. Once you’ve either cleared the board, or have managed to slip past the enemies to your objective, you are free to clear the next map.

Everything is laid out in a fun story inspired by American literature and British locations, all wrapped in a decidedly steampunk style. It’s absurd, playful, and genuinely difficult when you get to the later stages.

See No Black Friday, Speak No Black Friday, Hear No Black Friday

\n

While we managed to sum up Black Friday with the help of GTA, there is nothing like an "oh boy" to really do the trick. The shopping holiday is a headache for everyone involved and with the antics that go on it can get a little embarrassing.

\n

If you're lucky enough to avoid the pre-holiday drama, do it. If you're not, good luck and we await to hear your shopping tales.

Small Town Boogie

\n

As these gifs show, Black Friday can be a stressful time especially if you live in a large city. However, if you're from a smaller town you can rejoice because that means you don't have to rush out into the crowd the day after.

\n

So, do a little dance and go ahead and enjoy another slice of pumpkin pie and turkey induced coma and leave shopping for another day.

There's A Snake in My Boot

\n

Honestly, this gif is a little bit creepy but so is the toy section of most stores on Black Friday. If you think kids are the spawn of Satan, then you're going to think their parents are the one and only Satan who did said spawning.

Black Friday has the habit of bringing out tons of stereotypes including the Super Parent who will do anything and everything to get what their kid(s) wants. If you can avoid them do it or you're going to really wish that there was a snake in your boot.

MINE

\n

I dare you to go into any aisle and grab the last something. The last dress, the last toy, the last game console; anything, grab and it see how that works out for you. Most likely, if there is someone who wants that item as bad as you do be prepared for some kind of surprise attack because it's going to happen.

\n

Whatever you grab, hold it tight because if you drop it it's going to be more than just spilled coffee.

Black Friday Bad Karma

\n

Now, not all Black Friday's are the way you see on the TV. Believe it or not, there are people out there that actually have common sense but then you have your "Trevors" who try to get one over on the crowds and it just ends up blowing up on them and the only thing that's going to be wasted is your time.

\n

Stand your ground but don't be a jerk, politeness will pay off and remember Christmas is just around the corner and Santa's watching.

Trust No One

\n

Yes, this includes the birds.  Black Friday is kind of like a full moon, the minute it hits everyone goes crazy and even the family dog can't be trusted, let alone a seagull. Stolen cars usually isn't part of the festive shopping sport but really anything can happen. Just remember, it will be harder for a seagull to pull you out of the car if you're wearing a seatbelt.

Shopping Carts Aren't To Be Taken Seriously

\n

Sure, on any other day you're probably used to grabbing one of these bad boys the minute you walk into a store but on Black Friday it's the survival of the fittest and if you have hands you better use them.

\n

Now, if you want to grab a shopping cart be ready to defend that thing like a newborn baby because people are like dingoes and they're going to run away with it and who's going to have swag then? Not you.

If you live in America then surely you're getting ready for those Thanksgiving festivities less than a week away. Fun, family and food is what awaits you but, if you're like most people; Thanksgiving is just a blip on your Christmas radar and Black Friday is where it's really at.

\n

Now, I personally have never taken part in Black Friday as the media has me too afraid to attempt to wade into the pre-holidays shopping mall grand theft. However, there are plenty of brave souls just waiting for the Thanksgiving clock to strike 6pm, -- as early as 3pm -- in some places.

\n

Whether you're a vet or a newbie of the mass destruction of shopping centers across the state, if you're looking for some serious steals, there's a thing or two to learn from Grand Theft Auto.
