Final Fantasy 8 Remastered Out Now on Mobile Devices

FF8 Remastered is available on iOS and Android devices with a discount for a limited time

Final Fantasy 8 Remastered is now on iOS and Android devices, Square Enix announced. That means FF8 Remastered (editor’s note: the best FF) is on all modern platforms, and Square Enix is celebrating with a mobile discount for a limited time.

Until April 4, FF8 Remastered on mobile will be $16.99. Normally, it’s $20.99.

Final Fantasy 8 Remastered introduced a significant visual upgrade to the PS1-era game, improving character models and enhancing backgrounds.

It also added the speed boost mode characteristic of modern Final Fantasy ports, an option to toggle random encounters, and a battle assist mode with constant limit breaks, among other benefits.

It’s yet another Final Fantasy that broke new ground for the series.

Where FF7 told an anti-capitalist story about a miserable city and one very unstable silver-haired swordsman, FF8 is a story of love, futuristic warfare, witches, time travel, and more. It’s a wild ride and one we heartily recommend.
