There are 20 characters in the global version of ASTRA: Knights of Veda. Each character has its own signature weapon and set of skills. Here, I’ll provide you with a tier list of the best characters in ASTRA: Knights of Veda, including their best skills and attacks.
Best Characters in ASTRA: Knights of Veda Ranked
ASTRA Knights of Veda SS-Tier Characters
Xanthia, Black Sun
- Attribute: Darkness
- Weapon: Staff
Xanthia is a ranged DPS with extremely high elemental damage and is able to quickly obliterate entire groups of enemies with her AoE skills. What I like the most about her is that she can teleport instantly to a safe distance, which is better than any dodging technique. Her best skill is Event Horizon, which creates spheres of darkness that pull in all enemies and deal damage to them. Her normal AoE attack is the Law of Gravity, which covers a wide area of effect.
Edward Berhard, Black Prince
- Attribute: Fire
- Weapon: Longsword
Edward is by far the best melee fighter in the game, capable of setting all of his enemies on fire. However, to achieve this effect, I recommend using a special combo, which involves three different skills, including Flame Storm and Wound of Flames, with the addition of Time for Punishment. This last skill extends the time of burning, which is highly effective. If I need to slash enemies in a wide arc with my longsword, then I can simply use his Fury Strike attack.
ASTRA Knights of Veda S-Tier Characters
Saeya Shane, Prayer Of Life
- Attribute: Water
- Weapon: Club & Shield
Saeya is my current favorite healer in the game since she also wields a powerful melee weapon and a shield. On top of that, she can debuff enemies with her Flowing Life and Stigma of Life abilities. In the latter case, she can also restore her hit points while attacking enemies. If I feel overwhelmed by the number of enemies on the battlefield, I can use her Wave of Life skill, which summons a huge wave, pushing all enemies away from her allies.
Atterisee Koren, Spoiled Princess
- Attribute: Poison
- Weapon: Staff
Atterisee is definitely one of the most unusual characters in ASTRA: Knights of Veda. She’s basically an AoE poison damage dealer, which can greatly help allies push things forward, making her a fantastic support character. Use her Roll, Roll, Roll! skill to throw around vials of poison that cost almost nothing. But my favorite of her skills is Research Pays Off!, which grants one of three random debuffs on enemies, including reduced attack power, reduced elemental resistance, or reduced recovery.
Sansar, White Molar
- Attribute: Light
- Weapon: Greatsword
If you weren’t able to pull Edward in your gacha, then Sansar would be the next best alternative. She wields a similarly large sword with a long reach, but instead of setting enemies on fire, she summons special allies. For example, her Wolf of Light skill summons Narni, one of the Vulcan Guardians, who helps her and her allies defeat enemies. But I also appreciate her having some serious buff skills, such as The Sun’s Anger, which buffs the attack power of all her allies.
ASTRA Knights of Veda A-Tier Characters
Albert, Golden Lion
- Attribute: Earth
- Weapon: Club & Shield
Since ASTRA: Knights of Veda is a very straightforward game, tanks don’t play as significant a role here as in other similar titles. But if you’d love to have at least one tank in your party, then try to pull Albert, who possesses some excellent skills. His best attack is the Sacred Hammer, which allows him to throw his giant hammer at enemies, hitting them like bowling pins. If I want to taunt enemies, then I can use his Roar of the Golden Lion skill, which summons a lion spirit effigy that protects an entire party.
Arin Lanclen, Lady of Dark Knight
- Attribute: Darkness
- Weapon: Longsword
Although Arin wields a large, two-handed sword, it doesn’t prevent her from moving extremely fast and dealing damage to lots of enemies at once. Arin’s best attack is The Last Dance, when she moves so fast in between the enemies that she seems to be invisible. In case you can’t reach an enemy for one reason or another, I suggest using her Death’s Grip ability, which grapples a target and brings it to her, which is quite convenient. Also, be sure to use it with various combo skills to maximize damage.
Eliyar, Walrus Messenger
- Attribute: Blood
- Weapon: Large Bow
I believe it’s better to have a ranged magician in your party than a physical bow wielder, but if you can’t pull Xanthia or Atterisee, then someone like Eliyar will definitely fill the gap. Besides being able to use piercing arrows with the help of her Reindeer Strong Bow skill, she can also set up traps, which can be quite useful, using her Throwing Traps ability. But other than that, don’t expect too much from Eliyar, who can be useful only as a back-row DPS supporter.
ASTRA Knights of Veda B-Tier Characters
Sarka, Eyes of Truth
- Attribute: Lightning
- Weapon: Large Bow
Unlike Eliyar, Sarka uses lightning arrows instead of piercing ones, which I think are less powerful. That’s the main reason why I placed Sarka in the B-tier. But he does have a very strong attack called Thunder Strike, which allows him to blast enemies with a Thunderstorm Arrow from above. If you want to strike your enemies in front and in a straight line, then I suggest his Thunderbolt Strike skill instead. As with all B-tier characters, Sarka can be useful only as a supporter of the team but not as its leader.
Marthel Ironside, Thunderblade
- Attribute: Electric
- Weapon: Sword & Shield
Marthel is another tank for your party, although not as effective as Albert with his giant hammer. Marthel uses a simple sword, which can also buff his allies when utilizing Thunderblade’s Will attack. I do find his Lightning Protection skill quite useful, being able to strike nearby enemies, but it’s still limited only to close range, so use it sparingly. If you want to maximize Marthel’s abilities, I recommend pairing him up with Sarka for electric and lightning synergies.
Nayan, Walrus Messenger
- Attribute: Water
- Weapon: Large Club
Nayan is another healer on my list who’d be the only decent alternative to Saeya. She has a truly great ability to heal herself while attacking, called Rolling With Spirits. If I have to heal my allies, I’d rather use her Calling Spirits ability, which creates an area of effect that continuously heals allies within its margins. But other than that, Nayan can’t offer much in terms of damage, at least not like Saeya.
That’s it for my tier list of the best characters in ASTRA: Knights of Veda. Stay tuned for more AKoV tips and tricks articles here at GameSkinny.
