Is Shiny Drilbur in Pokemon GO? 

As of April 20, 2023, during the Sustainability Week event, Shiny Drilbur is available to catch in Pokemon GO.

Shiny Drilbur’s stripes and palm colorings are a muted magenta color instead of the usual blue. The differences are even more visible once it evolves into Excadrill, with the fur being the same magenta color and the accent slashes and gems a teal color. 

How to Catch Shiny Drilbur in Pokemon GO

So how can you catch a Shiny Drilbur in Pokemon GO? During the Sustainability Week event, there’s an increased appearance rate for wild Drilbur, as well as an increased chance of it being an encounter reward for completing field and timed research.

Shiny Drilbur can now hatch from 7km eggs that were obtained during Sustainability Week. 

Will Shiny Drilbur be in Pokemon GO After Sustainability Week?

It’s unclear if Shiny Drilbur is only available during Sustainability Week 2023 or if the Pokemon will stick around after the event ends on April 26. If you’re looking to catch a Shiny Drilbur, this would be the best time to hatch eggs, catch Drilbur in the wild, and complete field research to up your chances of finding one. 

Along with Shiny Drilbur, Sustainability Week 2023 features Shaymin, Trubbish, and more Pokemon normally not seen in the wild. Bounsweet is also making its Pokemon GO debut.
