CoD MW3 Zombies: How to Get All Field Upgrades

How to Get All Field Upgrades in MWZ

It didn’t take me long to realize how crucial Field Upgrades are when I’m playing Zombies in Modern Warfare 3. The hordes can appear out of nowhere, and the upgrades offer a safety net. All of the upgrades have a unique ability that can act as your hail Mary in times of need. You’ll unlock the Field Upgrades as you level up in the game, and you can equip them from the preceding loadout screen. Here’s how to get them.

• Energy Mine
  • Unlock Level: Immediately.
  • Ability: Spawns an electric explosive mine that deals damage to enemies who trigger it.
  • Recharge Rate: Medium.
• Frenzied Guard
  • Unlock Level: 9.
  • Ability: Fully repairs your armor and forces all enemies in your area to target you for 10 seconds. Enemy kills will repair your armor until the time limit expires. 
  • Recharge Rate: Slow.
• Healing Aura
  • Unlock Level: 19.
  • Ability: Heals all players in your squad immediately. 
  • Recharge Rate: Slow.
• Frost Blast
  • Unlock: 29.
  • Ability: Damages enemies in front of you with a blast of frost that freezes them and slows the enemies in the blast zone. 
  • Recharge Rate: Medium.
• Aether Shroud
  • Unlock: 39.
  • Ability: Temporarily become invisible to zombies.
  • Recharge Rate: Medium.
• Tesla Storm
  • Unlock: 50.
  • Ability: Trigger a chain of lightning to you and other players that will stun and damage all normal enemy types in the AOE for about 10 seconds. 
  • Recharge Rate: Slow.

As you can see, they all offer a unique play strategy. I recommend you and your squad mix and match your Field Upgrades to offer the strongest advantage. It’s a great idea to have a Healing Aura on hand, but if you’re running solo, you might prefer a more damage-focused ability.
