Crossy Road – How to Unlock the Secret UK & Ireland Characters

Crossy Road has a ton of characters these days. It’s hard to believe it’s been around for less than a year!

The game’s most recent patch, the UK & Ireland Update, brought 17 new characters and three secret ones.

The three secret UK & Ireland characters are Nessy, Leprechaun, and Phone Box. So how do you unlock them?

First you need to have one of the UK & Ireland characters unlocked to go through the steps to unlock the three secret characters. The following characters can be used to unlock this update’s secret characters:

• Queen’s Guard
• Nessy
• Squirrel
• Fish n’ Chips
• Fox
• Piper
• Schoolgirl
• Fancy Gent
• Fancy Lady
• Bobby
• Butterfly
• Badger
• Chimney Sweep

These characters can all be unlocked just like the other standard characters. You must use one of them to unlock the three exclusive UK & Ireland secret characters.

How to get Nessy

Nessy can be found just like the Hipster Whale: Sometimes you will see it floating down the river. Hop on Nessy and continue on your way. Once you die, it will be unlocked in your character roster.

Note: Nessy will not show up every playthrough.

How to get the Phone Box

Getting the Phone Box requires that you make it up to 99 points or above, after which you will come to a field with a ringing phone box. You can hear the ringing before the field. Once you find it, you’ll have unlocked it.

This most often happens on the 100 point marker. If you don’t hear the ringing, it may be best to start over.

How to get the Leprechaun

Getting the Leprechaun is easy enough: Pick up a four-leaf clover.

Most of the clovers strewn about the course are three-leaf clovers, so be sure to pick up every one you can. I can be difficult to see the elusive four-leaf clover on smaller phones.
