Blizzard is partnering with Mountain Dew to bring purple-themed weapon cosmetics to Sanctuary, and if you’re a die-hard like me, you’ll want to get your hands on them, if for nothing else to look like royalty while slaying demons. Here’s how to get the Amethyst Weapon cosmetics in Diablo 4.
How to Claim the Mountain Dew Diablo 4 Amethyst Weapon Cosmetics
Starting November 29 and going through December 29, you can redeem codes on labeled Mountain Dew products in exchange for four different Amethyst Weapon transmogs. This includes regular MTN Dew, as well as the soda maker’s newly released MTN Dew Game Fuel Mystic Punch. Similar to the KFC partnership at the launch of D4, purchasing real-life items will net you in-game cosmetics. Here’s what you can expect:
- Amethyst Spellbook.
- Amethyst Crossbow.
- Amethyst Slasher.
- Amethyst Hammer.
Unlike the KFC promotion, however, where you unlocked a specific cosmetic in relation to the number of purchases you made from the fast food chain, you’re able to select these Mountain Dew Diablo 4 rewards in any order. Each transmog costs one point to claim, which equals a single soda item.
How to Claim Mountain Dew Codes for Amethyst Weapon Cosmetics
You’ll find a code on labeled items of Mountain Dew. The products don’t have to be advertising D4, though, as Starfield, Redfall, Doom, and more also have rewards up for grabs. What you want to look for is the Xbox logo, as well as a snippet that says you can earn points for gaming rewards. This code needs to be entered online to earn points toward the prizes. Once you have a code, which is under the cap for bottles, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the official Doritos/Rockstar/Mountain Dew website.
- Create an account if you don’t have one or log in.
- Enter your codes.
- When you have enough points, redeem the cosmetic you want.
How Long do I Have to Claim Prizes?
Make sure to claim the prizes before the end of December 29. All points will lose value after that. I know I’ll be on the lookout for any D4 Mountain Dew to get myself the Amethyst Crossbow and Slasher, as well as enjoy some Baja Blast while I’m at it.
