Diablo 4: How to Get Blast-Trapper’s Aspect

Our Diablo 4 Splintering Aspect guide discusses the perk's effects, as well as the Kor Valar Ramparts dungeon.

Blast-Trapper’s Aspect is incredibly useful for trap-heavy Rogue builds in Diablo 4. This guide will outline how the Aspect works and how to complete Kor Valar Ramparts, the dungeon you’ll find it in. Keep in mind that, as with every Aspect you can get in Diablo 4‘s Codex, the only way to get the best version of Blast-Trapper’s Aspect is to find it on a Legendary item.

How to Get the Blast-Trapper’s Aspect in Diablo 4

These are the steps you’ll need to take to get the Diablo 4 Blast-Trapper’s Aspect:

  • Go to Kor Valar Ramparts.
  • Free the Prisoners there.
  • Defeat Lieutenant Tummen.
  • Get the Stained Key.
  • Beat the Knight Council.

You can find the Blast-Trapper’s Aspect in Kor Valar Ramparts, in the very northeast corner of the Fractured Peaks. While you’ll travel here a couple times during Act 1, you won’t actually be able to enter the dungeon until you’ve completed Diablo 4‘s story. That means doing all six Acts. Once the credits roll and you unlock the post-game, you’ll find this dungeon on your map.

How to Free the Prisoners

Kor Valar Ramparts requires you to free six prisoners scattered throughout the dungeon. You’ll know where they are because they’ll be marked as diamonds on your mini-map. You’ll be fighting a lot of Adherents, Knights Errant, and Knights Penitent in Kor Valar Ramparts. I didn’t have much trouble with these guys, but some rooms throw a lot of them at you at once. Be prepared for some big fights.

Slay Lieutenant Tummen and Collect the Stained Key

After you save all of the prisoners (or lay the ones who are already dead to rest), you have to slay Lieutenant Tummen and collect the Stained Key. Lieutenant Tummen is an elite Knight Penitent with four random affixes. He brings some friends with him, but I didn’t have much trouble with any of them when I ran this dungeon with my Sorcerer. Once he’s down for the count, grab the Stained Key and head for the Locked Gate.

How to Defeat the Kor Valar Boss: The Knight Council

Kor Valar Ramparts’ final boss is The Knight Council. The Council has three members:

  • The Devoted Champion.
  • The Sacred Physician.
  • The Grand Inquisitor.

The Devoted Champion will try to get in your face with his spear and shield; the Grand Inquisitor will alternate between teleporting close to you and casting AoE spells and shooting at you from afar; and the Sacred Physician will keep his distance and heal his allies and cast small damage spells. I tore through these guys, and you can more or less approach this fight however you like if you’re careful. That said, I recommend taking out the Sacred Physician first, so he can’t resurrect his friends when you kill them. Once he’s dead, the other two can be tackled in whatever order you like.

Once you finish off The Knight Council, you’ll unlock the Blast-Trapper Aspect, which does the following: “Lucky Hit: Dealing direct damage to enemies affected by your trap skills has up to a 30% chance to make them Vulnerable for 3 seconds.”

This is a handy Aspect for Rogue builds that use traps, so it’s good to have. Remember, you can also get this Aspect (with potentially higher stat rolls) by finding Legendary items that already have it.

And that’s everything you need to know about getting the Rogue’s Blast-Trapper’s Aspect in Diablo 4. For more tips, tricks, secrets, and guides, check out our Diablo 4 guides hub.
