How to Complete Blue Starlight

As always, we start the Starlight quest in Old Gridania (X:10, Y:9) by talking to the Bearded Lady across from the Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre Aetheryte. This year, your task is to check in on a boy who keeps lingering around the Starlight decorations but always looks sad.

So, when you pick up the quest, you need to gather information from three people. They each have the symbol over their head to signal they’re a quest objective, and you’ll find the middle of the area to be (X:9, Y:8) in Old Gridania. I followed the circular path and spoke with all three NPCs rather quickly. Then, speak to Saulinne at (X:9.6, Y:8.6).

The next step is speaking to Tenny. Use the Aetheryte to go to the Botanist’s Guild, and you’ll find him right over the bridge to your left. From here, you’ll do a bit of a back-and-forth between Amh and Tenny. Go back to the start at the Amphitheatre (X:10, Y:9) and speak to Amh Garanjy again (the Bearded Lady). This gives you the Unorthodox Saint’s Outfit, and you’ll finish the Blue Starlight quest. I put it on, then accepted the next quest, Together from a Distance, from Amh. I would’ve had to do this anyway, as equipping the outfit is required for the next portion of Starlight quests.

How to Complete Together from a Distance

Now that you’re dressed and ready to deliver holly jolly joy, go back to the Botanist’s Guild Aetheryte to speak with Tenny and pick up the presents he made for his friends. Next, you’ll go to Ul’dah. Specifically, to the Quicksand (X:11.7, 8.5). I used the Aetheryte and then went to the Adventurer’s Guild one since it’s right next to the Quicksand. Momolao is standing in front of the platform where you’d enter the inn. He tells you where to find the other two children, but I put the coordinates for them below. Order doesn’t matter here.

  • Larkin: Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X:11.4, Y:11.2)
  • Othuel: Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X:12.7, Y:13.3)

After delivering the presents, you receive one for Tenny. That means you’re returning to Gridania to find him next to the Botanist’s Guild Aetheryte again. Finally, speak with Amh Garanjy once more to finish the quest chain.

And then, if you want to pick up the Chocobo furnishing, speak with the Starlight Vendor outside of the Amphitheatre. She’s in a little booth at (X:10.6, Y:8.7). It’s only 3000 Gil, and it’ll look great in my Ishgardian yard.
