FIFA 23: Best Lengthy Players

Find out which players have the highest AcceleRATE and who can be considered the best lengthy player using our guide to FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 has a brand-new AcceleRATE system, which allows certain players with specific stats to increase pace and acceleration. What stats are we talking about? Well, they include: acceleration, strength, and height. Tall players who are at least 173cm will have a higher chance of developing speed than their shorter counterparts.

Our guide will provide you with a list of the best lengthy players in FIFA 23. The list below includes players of various roles, so you can easily form a solid team of your own.

Kevin De Bruyne

  • Acceleration: 76
  • Strength: 74
  • Height: 181cm

A Belgian legend, also known as KDB, is going to be your best central midfielder in FIFA 23.

His passing skills are unsurpassed, and his shooting abilities are some of the best among all CMs. He’s had the rating of 91 for now over 6 years, and that says a lot.

Although you can easily put him in an attacking position on the field, don’t neglect his assist, especially alongside Haaland. But you can always expect a solid game regardless of the position, whether it’s the six yard box, the edge of the field, or the half line.

Kylian Mbappe

  • Acceleration: 97
  • Strength: 76
  • Height: 182cm

Many FIFA players consider Mbappe the best player in the franchise due to his immense speed and dribbling. These qualities allow him to traverse the field like no other player.

Unlike KDB, Kylian cannot be placed anywhere but in the striking position. He is a highly specialized player who can do only one thing, and that is attacking. But he does it better than anybody else!

Due to his natural high pace and tall stature, Mbappe is easily one of the best lengthy players in FIFA 23.

Karim Benzema

  • Acceleration: 79
  • Strength: 82
  • Height: 185cm

Benzema probably had the most ups and downs in terms of his playability throughout his existence in the FIFA franchise. But this year he is justifiably considered one of the true best players.

He is also one of the tallest players in the league and it automatically makes him an excellent lengthy center forward. With a good strategy he could be easily competing against Mbappe, even though his speed is a lot lower than Kylian’s.

That’s one of the reasons why his rating increased dramatically from 89 to 91 in just a year.

Robert Lewandowski

  • Acceleration: 76
  • Strength: 87
  • Height: 185cm

Lewandowski is a master striker! With such an impressive height as Benzema, but with a slightly higher strength, Lewandowski can easily compete in terms of speed and acceleration with any other player mentioned above.

Many players actually consider him even better and would easily give him a rating of 92, which is currently the highest in the game. His build up play alongside his passing abilities would probably guarantee such high placement.

Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a solid striker with some lengthy capabilities, this is another great alternative to Mbappe.

Heung Min Son

  • Acceleration: 86
  • Strength: 66
  • Height: 183cm

Many FIFA players may not be aware of just how good this Korean player is, especially when speaking of his shooting abilities.

Besides his impressive acceleration and speed, his passing and dribbling skills are just as good. Taking into consideration that he is a left winger, he can be a good teammate, and provide additional attacking capabilities.

His strength could be a bit better, but he’s got stamina for days, so keep an eye out on him.

Cristiano Ronaldo

  • Acceleration: 79
  • Strength: 77
  • Height: 187cm

Ronaldo and Messi have once been some of the fastest players in the league, but since Lionel Messi has a short stature, only Cristiano Ronaldo can be considered as a solid lengthy player.

This is probably Ronaldo’s last year in FIFA‘s top-tier ratings, so buy him, if not for his still incredible stats, then for his legendary status.

If we’re talking about real drawbacks, then the only thing that Ronaldo lacks in the game is his passing skills that do need to be improved.

Virgil van Dijk

  • Acceleration: 68
  • Strength: 93
  • Height: 193cm

Van Dijk is currently considered one of the top three center backs in FIFA 23. Gaining such a massive reputation is not easy, but with such strength, stamina, and overall defensive skills it is no surprise.

He may not be fast in the first meters of running, but once he gets going nothing can stop Van Dijk, making him a fantastic lengthy player.

Players who had the chance to use him in their team league will tell you that he’s indispensable as a defender.

Mohamed Salah

  • Acceleration: 89
  • Strength: 75
  • Height: 175cm

Salah is a tremendous right winger with one of the highest amount of scored goals in a single player’s career.

Many FIFA players consider him a much better card than even Lionel Messi, and would place him one rating above on 91, considering his pace, shooting, and of course, dribbling.

Note that most of his goals can be easily scored outside the box, all due to his immense ball control.

Harry Kane

  • Acceleration: 67
  • Strength: 83
  • Height: 188cm

Kane is another example of soft start but lengthy acceleration due to high strength and height.

He is mostly known for his long passing skills, which play well for both attacking on his own and making opportunities for others to score some easy goals.

Although he was much better last season, even by going down to 89 points, still makes him a great striker.

Joshua Kimmich

  • Acceleration: 77
  • Strength: 68
  • Height: 177cm

Kimmich has never been a star of FIFA, but he’s always been a reliable central midfielder.

His best skill is passing, and his biggest drawback is pace, which is easily compensated by the AcceleRATE system, making him a solid lengthy defensive player.

He may not be the most important piece on the field, but his input, although often unnoticed, will make any match-up worthwhile.

Sadio Mane

  • Acceleration: 91
  • Strength: 72
  • Height: 174cm

A complete opposite of Kimmich is Mane, a left midfielder who’s got a massive pace, but subpar passing abilities.

You can still put him to a good use, although many players say that he’s not as fast as he used to be in the previous seasons.

As an alternative position, he could be placed in the center, and taking into account his solid attacking skills, he could be even more efficient in that role instead of assisting other players on the field.

Carlos Casemiro

  • Acceleration: 60
  • Strength: 90
  • Height: 185cm

Here is another defensive midfielder with a narrow specialization, plenty of stamina, and subpar passing and crossing skills.

But when it comes to CDMs, he is undoubtedly in the top three in the world. So, if you’re looking for a lengthy defender, then Casemiro might be a solid choice.

Many predict that his rating will keep falling in the upcoming seasons, so take your chances with him now or never.

Ruben Dias

  • Acceleration: 57
  • Strength: 89
  • Height: 187cm

This is the second best center back in FIFA 23 after Van Dijk, who has more pace and stamina, and who’s considered a more balanced player overall.

But Dias, despite some of his shortcomings, has one special feature that makes him a good lengthy player: he’s incredibly aggressive. This influences his ability to accelerate, and thus provide solid support to the entire team.
