After you meet the Goomba professor, explore some of the sewers under Rogueport, and learn how to fight, you’ll need to make your way to Petalburg. That means you have to get to Petal Meadows first. So, here’s how to get to Petal Meadows in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Petal Meadows Location in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
If you start from the main square of Rogueport, then you need to head to the right. At the moment, this is likely the only option you have since Zess T. is still blocking the path to the left until you replace her contact lens. Enter the Rogueport Sewers using the same pipe that you used with the professor earlier.
Go to the right again. There’s a platform you use to turn into a paper plane so you can get across to the next platform. From here, you enter a room with water and a white tentacle sticking out. Hit the tentacle with your hammer to start a fight with Blooper.
How to Fight Blooper
The fight has two alternating phases. One is where you fight the left and right tentacles. The other is where you fight Blooper’s body. After a round against the body, his tentacles respawn. Repeat this cycle until you defeat Blooper, which spawns stone platforms you need for crossing the water.
Once you cross the water, you find a gray pipe. Head down it, and you find yourself in Petal Meadows, officially starting Chapter 1. Don’t forget to use the Save Block before you get too far into the level. From here, you continue through the stage to reach Petalburg, your next destination.
That’s how to get to Petal Meadows in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. While you might’ve played the original version on the GameCube, it’s been long enough that it’s tough to remember each stage and where to go.
