How to Craft a Small Well

To get water in Sengoku Dynasty, you must ensure that your villagers have a constant source of clean water. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Open your “Build” menu.
  2. Go to the “Village Structures” tab.
  3. Select the “Small Well” option.

The crafting recipe for a small village well looks like this:

  • 5 Stones
  • 1 Log (Any)
  • 4 Planks (Any)

You can find all these materials in the forest outside the village except planks. Planks can be produced only in the Woodcutter’s Hut. Once you have all the required materials, you can place the well anywhere in the village that suits you. If you don’t have the Woodcutter’s Hut yet, where you cut planks out of wood, then you can build it by following these steps:

  1. Open your “Build” menu.
  2. Go to the “Buildings” tab.
  3. Select the “Production Buildings” option.
  4. Select the “Woodcutter’s Hut” option.

How to Craft a Woodworking Table

Having a well of water isn’t enough, as you need to distribute the water among the villagers somehow. For that reason, you’ll need buckets. You can craft buckets at the Woodworking Table, so that’s what I suggest doing next:

  1. Open your “Build” menu.
  2. Go to the “Buildings” tab.
  3. Select the “Housing Buildings” option.
  4. Go to the “Furniture” tab.
  5. Select the “Production Buildings Furniture” option.
  6. Go to the “Woodcutter’s Hut Furniture” tab.
  7. Select the “Woodworking Table” option.

At last, you can craft the Woodworking Table with the help of this recipe:

  • 2 Logs (Any)
  • 4 Planks (Any)

You must place the table inside the Wodcutter’s Hut, and then you can start crafting buckets that require 2 Planks each.

How to Put Buckets of Water Into Storage

Note that you can fill one Bucket with 5 Water. Once you have your buckets crafted, go to your Small Well and drop all the buckets into it by pressing the “E” key. Wait until they get automatically filled up. This won’t take too long!

Once your buckets are filled with water, press “F” to retrieve the buckets of water. Lastly, put them into the Water Storage building, which is available from the very start of the game in the “Dynasty Storage” menu. These water reserves will sustain your village with all the water it needs. Just be sure to resupply your storage with fresh water, and your villagers will stay happy.

How to Gather and Cook Your Own Food

At the beginning of Sengoku Dynasty, you can only rely on yourself when it comes to gathering food and cooking meals. You can go hunting in the woods for meat or gather mushrooms, berries, and other edibles. Then, you can cook them by following these steps:

  1. Enter your shelter in the village.
  2. Interact with the bonfire in the center.
  3. Drag and drop meat or any other raw ingredients into the fire.

You can retrieve the cooked food from the bonfire and consume it directly from your character’s inventory by pressing the “E” key.

How to Hire Villagers to Gather and Cook Food

When you have at least one or two villagers in your settlement, you can hire them for the job of gathering and cooking food, so you don’t have to do it on your own. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open the main menu.
  2. Go to the “Dynasty” tab.
  3. Go to the “Population” tab.
  4. Double-click on the villager you wish to hire.
  5. Assign them to a job “Cook at Small House”.

Later, you can assign various tasks to different villagers in the same menu under the “Jobs” tab. Once you do this, you can leave the gathering and cooking of food to your villagers.

How to Put Food Into Storage

As is the case with water, I strongly recommend building the Food Storage from the “Dynasty Storage” menu. You can store all the raw and cooked food there, so you and your villagers will never be hungry again. You’ll need Bamboo Planks to finish the construction of the Food Storage, and be sure to always keep it full of food by hiring more workers.
