The Midnight Fashion Show: How to Get Costumes in Persona 3 Reload

Many of the original Persona 3 costumes have returned for the 2024 remake. These are generally found as quest rewards or rare drops from treasure chests in Tartarus on specific floors.

In Reload, you can also obtain extra costumes that are themed after the characters from Persona 4 and Persona 5, but not for free. They’re included with the more expensive editions of the game or purchased separately as mildly expensive DLC. As the game tells you in a brief tutorial message, DLC content is in your character’s dorm room closet.

At the time of writing, it does look like many of the costumes and their unlock conditions have changed from the original versions of Persona 3. For example, you can now find Tuxedos for male characters as relatively high drops from chests in Tartarus, which is new in Reload.

Similarly, Elizabeth has significantly fewer and different requests in Reload than she did in the original. For example, request #52 gives you “Male Summer Garb” that can be equipped by any male character. In the original P3, you had to unlock each character’s summer outfit individually. It also seems like the infamous High-Cut Armor, a.k.a. the Battle Panties, might be missing in Reload, or may simply have an extraordinarily low drop chance.

How to Equip Outfits in Persona 3 Reload

To equip a new outfit, use the equipment slot of the same name in your status screen. Unlike the original versions of Persona 3, these are cosmetic options that change your character’s appearance. Your other equipment slots stay the same, so once you’ve got one of these, you can keep it throughout the game if you like.

That’s a quick primer on what you need to know about the various new costumes in Persona 3 Reload. For content, such as all classroom question answers, feel free to stop by our guides hub.
