Lies of P can be an extremely difficult experience, even for Souls veterans. However, there are multiple ways to buff yourself for those tough fights. One of the main ways is through the game’s skill tree, the P-Organ, which allows you to unlock new abilities. However, to do so, you’ll need Quartz. In this guide, we will go over how to get Quartz in Lies of P.

How to Get Quartz in Lies of P

The bosses are the most frustrating yet rewarding part of Lies of P. And you’ll have to take them on if you want the material. Quartz in Lies of P can be found by defeating bosses and minibosses throughout your journey — sometimes.

Every area in the game has a big main boss at the end and a handful of minibosses scattered throughout the level. However, not every boss drops a Quartz. None of the human bosses will drop Quartz. Instead, they usually drop a new costume.

Even the mini-bosses in Lies of P can be extremely difficult. However, there’s no way to tell if a difficult enemy will drop a Quartz when it’s defeated. This means it’s best to take out any tough enemy you encounter if you can. If you can’t defeat them right away, you can always try to fight them later once you’re stronger.

As mentioned before, the P-Organ acts as your skill tree in Lies of P. These skills are known as nodes, and each node has an empty slot that can be filled with a Quartz to get the skill. Once a Quartz is inserted into the desired node, a menu will appear where you can choose a buff alongside the skill. These buffs come in four different types;

  • Attack
  • Survival
  • Ability
  • Item

Some nodes will have two slots for Quartz. However, you can’t have two buffs of the same type on one node. For example, you can have an Attack buff and an Survival Buff on one node, but you can’t have two Survival buffs on the same node.

That’s how to get Quartz in Lies of P. The resource isn’t easy to find and isn’t always promised when defeating bosses or minibosses. However, it’s always worth it for the buffs you get. For more tips and guides, make sure to check out our LoP guides hub.
