Pokemon GO: From A to Zygarde Special Research Guide

The latest Special Research quest is here, featuring Zygarde.

Zygarde is making its Pokemon GO debut with the latest Special Research, From A to Zygarde. Zygarde is an interesting Pokemon in that it’s comprised of Cells and Cores, and can change its form depending on how many Zygarde Cells it’s obtained. During the course of From A to Zygarde, you’ll get a chance to learn more about these Cells, how to get them and how to catch Zygarde in Pokemon GO.

From A to Zygarde Special Research in Pokemon GO

The From A to Zygarde Special Research is comprised of six parts, with multiple tasks within those parts. This Special Research is part of the Blaze New Trails event highlighting the latest feature in Pokemon GO, routes. The initial stages of the research doesn’t require you to head off on a route, exploring the new feature is a task later on. Here’s all the tasks needed to complete each stage of From A to Zygarde as well as the rewards.

From A to Zygarde Stage 1/6

  • Walk 1km
    • Reward: Pinap Berry x5
  • Catch 10 Pokemon
    • Reward: Potion x5
  • Use 5 berries to help catch Pokemon
    • Reward: Poke Ball x5

Stage Reward: Stardust x500

From A to Zygarde Stage 2/6

  • Make 5 great throws
    • Reward: Razz Berry x10
  • Power up Pokemon 5 times
    • Reward: Nanab Berry x10
  • Hatch an egg
    • Reward: Poke Ball x10

Stage Reward: Stardust 1,000

From A to Zygarde Stage 3/6

  • Claim Reward
    • Reward: Great Ball x10
  • Claim Reward
    • Reward: Super Potion x10
  • Claim Reward
    • Reward: Stardust x100

Stage Reward: Zygarde Encounter, Zygarde Cube x1

From A to Zygarde Stage 4/6

  • Follow 3 routes
    • Reward: Incense x1
  • Catch 20 Pokemon while following routes
    • Reward: Revive x3
  • Find a Zygarde Cell
    • Reward: Ultra Ball x5

Stage Reward: Stardust x1,000, XP x1,000

From A to Zygarde Stage 5/6

  • Use an Incense while following a route
    • Reward: Great Ball x15
  • Earn 3 candies walking with your buddy
    • Reward: Stardust x1,500
  • Follow 5 routes
    • Reward: Ultra Ball x10

Stage Reward: XP x2,000

From A to Zygarde Stage 6/6

  • Claim Reward
    • Reward: Star Piece x1
  • Claim Reward
    • Reward: XP x2,000
  • Claim Reward
    • Golden Razz Berry x1

Stage Reward: Stardust x2,500, XP x2,500
